We chose Port Grimaud because it was just a short ferry ride away from Saint Tropez & other nearby ports, without the crowds & the expense. The Hotel Le Suffren is centrally located near shopping, restaurants, beaches & the ferries. We chose a water front room with a balcony overlooking the canal. The view reminds you of being in Venice with the boats passing by on the canal & the people watching. We had breakfast on the balcony every day & occasionally take-out dinner. The room was very clean with an updated bathroom & the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast is offered at the hotel & there is coffee & flavored water available 24/7. Pets are also welcomed at the hotel. The best part of our stay was the hotel staff that always welcomed you with a smile & went out of their way to help you make the most of your visit.

The hotel is in a great location in the centre of Port Grimaud and our room was a good size and very comfortable with a stunning view from the balcony!
Breakfast was plentiful, with lots of gluten free goodies. The staff go out of their way to help and advise and really made us feel welcome.
We will definitely return!

We spent 3 nights at this hotel. The staff were really wonderful and helped us with lots of little things like finding a dog sitter. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and good value for money. Paying for an outside parking place was definitely worth it.

Port Grimaldi is a relatively inexpensive way to get to enjoy the St. Tropez area on the water without breaking the bank and Hotel Le Suffren is perfect in terms of location, accommodations, and access. Yet, it's the staff - and especially Celine - that clearly makes your stay a world-class experience. Her/their eagerness to help make your stay memorable in any way, and to provide the useful information any Traveller needs to get the most out of any visit, is what elevates this hotel from good to great.

Pros:
A nice little hotel. Our room was decorated in a tasteful style and had a very comfortable bed. We slept very well. The rooms with a view of the harbour/canals are best (ours has a view of the square). It's easy to get everywhere in Port Grimaud from here and they have free parking which is great.
I am gluten free and found the breakfast to be very thoughtful for those with dietary requirements - two types of bread and two types of cereal. Plenty of options to suit most tastes.
The staff were absolutely charming and extremely helpful. They have beach towels that you can take to the beach so no need to bring your own.
Cons:
No pool (the beach is nearby and good)
A bit pricey for somewhere with no pool (South of France prices!)
Overall we would recommend.
