We have family in Beatrice and visit regularly. Started bringing our dog so had to find a dog friendly hotel. Choices where limited to say the least. Since we had stayed here previously I booked for myself and my elderly parents and asked for the mini suite(kind of a stretch) and the adjacent room like we had previously done. Loud traffic noise right on the street but the constant drone of the heater would drown that out. Rooms supposedly recently remodeled but not very apparent. Old worn out place with some new paint and toilets but pretty much nothing to write home about. We find out when we check in they got the rooms all wrong and made no apologizes. The dogs where glad to get out of there too.

This place has decent rooms and you honestly cannot beat the price!! Why pay $135 a night for a chain hotel when you can sleep just as comfortably for $69? Also enjoyed the coffee in the AM! Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Highly recommend the Victorian Inn!

We arrived in Beatrice in the afternoon and checked out all motels. Summary of all: the smell in the reception area of the Econo Lodge was enough to turn your stomach. Travellers lodge looked awful from the outside, Capri Inn more resembles a hostel, Holiday Inn is very expensive so that left us with Victorian Inn which looked ok from the outside. Inside however is very tired. The whole place needs a good blast of fresh air, a lick of paint and a deep clean. Everything is done to the absolute minimum, lights that don't work, threadbare towels, stains on walls and ceilings etc. When we got to our room it smelt of cigarettes so advised the owner, she came to check and her comment was "it's not cigarettes it just smells"'. We opened Windows and bought some air freshener which helped a little. Breakfast was again the absolute minimum, nothing kept refrigerated, cups of waffle mix had been left on the counter for over 4 hours, Orange squash not juice and stale cereal. All this for $92! Do yourself a favour and keep driving. In fact, the whole area is not very nice - go to Marysville instead.

We usually stay at Choice hotels and this isn't even close. The pillows really ruined it for me. There were only 2 on each bed and they were flat and hard. Without a good pillow I can't get a good night's sleep. I got used to not traveling with my own because Comfort Inns always have great pillows.... my mistake. Anyway I guess it wasn't horrible. The place was clean but out dated. They did have a hot breakfast. The shower just had a small stream.

I only stayed here for one night while passing through Beatrice, but this hotel was by far the best value for the money. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The hotel is a little outdated.
