Brilliant stay

This is very much a family villa. Dining room is a home.mgood rooms, wifi works, no little fridge however but it's not a problem as there are many eateries in the neighbourhood. The beach is 6 minutes away and the ferry is 16 minutes away.
The beach is good and the little stall at the roundabout does great beer and spritzer so. So altogether an ideal place to stay away from the Busselton of Venice
Lovely room but awful organisation and a cold cold welcome

Whilst on the boat to Lido we received a message from Erika saying that we would not have our room as the "air conditioning" was broken. She had set us up at another villa for the first 2 nights of our stay. We arrived at the other hotel which was awfully dirty, the room was sub satisfactory and so we rang Erika. As we were not happy she changed our reservation to a better room at Villa Albertina, she promised 2 beach loungers and a parasol at the beach. And so the next day we headed off to find this beach, it took 2 hours, and we didn't even have the sun loungers and the parasol as she hadn't actually reserved them. Overall not a great experience.
Security and responsibility for the guests??

We arrived Thursday 26th in the afternoon and got our keys. Nice old place with garden. Day card available in next door shop for collective communication. Since first day in unknown place, we hung keys at it's hook at this hotel and went out to experience Lido and Venezia. Coming home at around 11 pm at night, we found our keys were gone. We became highly afraid, since everything could have happened. People could have been in our room while we were out. Worse of all: We called all Security numbers listed at the reception and at the outside door - getting no response at all!. Lastly the only option we had, was to call the Fire Departement in Lido. Then accidentally we found some keys that could seem to belong to the cleaning staff. These opened our door - at last. No compensation was offered from the hotel. No effort was made the coming day to talk to us about this regrettable incident. Until evening, the girl helping for breakfast came up and gave 2 sentences for explanation. This shows a much too obvious and alarming lack of responsibility for the Hotel's guests and their security. It also shows a irresponsibility concerning care taking for the respect for the guests and their well being. We heard nothing concerning tlph. numbers for use in emergency, or that the Villa Alberta had done or had the intention to improve their availability in emergency cases.
Enchantment in an Italianate Villa

WHAT A FIND! We were on a very long 30th Anniversary Trip of 45 days... most of our time was spent in other places...Athens, a Cruise, Trieste, Kiev...
BUT one of our BEST STAYS was also sadly one of our shortest... only 3 nights/4 days at the Villa Albertina... WHICH IS PERFECTLY suited to tour Venice, Murano, Burano AND to swim in the Adriatic off Lido!
We had Room 3... Large well located on the first floor... so no stairs to climb.
Breakfast was ALWAYS Delicious... and plentiful! With excellent service!
The Staff were WONDERFUL and Helpful... We could not have asked for more!
I suggest Lido as the perfect place to stay to truly enjoy ALL that Venice has to offer...which is so much more than just the main group of islands with the canals.
It was easy, FUN AND FAST to travel by water to all the islands. A multi-day pass was reasonable!
You WON'T be disappointed... a hotel which is 3 or 4 times more expensive might have a slightly more "elegant" room ... but not larger nor more comfortable.... BESIDES you are out doing things all day long... not sitting in a bedroom!
The ONLY one small drawback was the wall mounted TV... the sound I was told was limited by law and it was mounted near the "split-pack" air conditioning unit... so it was difficult to hear... That could be corrected IF the location of the TV was changed.
Have a GREAT Time ... Stay at the Hotel Villa Albertina... We will again when we return to Venice!
Cheers, Elaine & Paul
