We were 3 couples. We stayed 3 nights. I had the canopy Tuscan bed which was in the house, and my friends had the view of the Tuscany hills. My room was quiet, romantic and very clean. My husband and I were very pleased, just what we expected. Our drive from Rome was very nice with gorgeous views however, extremely narrow roads, kept us on our edge of our seat.....I must add, upon arrival around 10 pm, it was extremely dark, we were a little hungry from our journey. Franco and his wonderful staff, greeted us with a warm welcome and opened the restaurant for us. To start, we had a spread of prosciutto, cheese, olive oil, fresh bread while sitting outside surrounded by the tranquil Tuscan fields while we sipped the incredible tastings of different Tuscan wines. Then , followed by gnocchi and pappardelle pasta which was fantastic, and of course, more wine. And then, steak and pulpetti, delicious, and to end the dinner, panne cote and an espresso to finish...as you can see, we were not that hungry....ha ha,..... I'm so glad we experienced this, the true treasures of visiting Italy, the love and passion of food and wine! It was a fantastic way to start our visit in Tuscany, one I will cherish and visions and memories I will keep in my mind forever.
The grounds are beautiful and the 500 year old villa was just how I imagined Tuscany Villa's should be. The pool was clean and had breathtaking views of the grounds, I just wish I could have had a few more days just by the pool. The hospitality was fantastic, the breakfast was very fresh and delicious especially eating outside in the warm Tuscan air and lush grounds. Thank you Franco and Nicoletta, our visit to Casalecchi was one we will never forget. I hope in the future sometime we can visit Tuscany and take me back to Casalecchi to visit you once again! Thanks again for being part of my ever lasting memories to Tuscany.!

This place is amazing; from the great views, the clean pool, the gracious hosts and the awesome food. We spent 2 nights there on our way through Italy and were pleasantly surprised to find this gem. Will definitely return.

This a beautiful residence. But only if you choose to stay in the house. The rooms underneath the old residence and off site are no where near as nice.
The owner is a nice enough fellow. But something just didn't feel quite right to us. It felt like with a little bit more effort this could be an amazing place.
Positives were the beautiful surrounds, pool, and breakfast was good.
Negatives were the initial quality of the rooms we were given although the final room was better. Our initial room had no natural light. Water leaking on to the floor from the bath or tap which meant visits to bathroom ended with wet feet. And electrical plugs were hanging out of the wall with exposed wires. The noise of people setting up for breakfast above us also woke us from 6.30am.
After asking to be moved we were. But it was clear that by asking to do so we had upset the owner, who came storming into our room while we packing up and started turning on the taps to indicate something. Was slightly strange.
Anyway, I wish the family well in their endeavours.
If returning to the region we would probably stay in an agritourismo like we did after we moved out of this villa.

We stayed her for three nights. This is such a relaxing and quiet place to enjoy in beautiful surroundings. We ate dinner there two nights. Delicious homemade food for lunch and dinner. Franco in da house makes sure that everyone is enjoying their stay here with his very friendly and personal service. The room was large with perfectly cooled temperature and also very clean. The pool is fresh and clean as well. We will definitely come back here!

We spent 3 days in this villa - the host family was incredibly warm and friendly to our little kids, the room was charming and spacious, the villa beautiful and clean - gorgeous views all around. The kids loved the pool and exploring the property. Delicious breakfast with freshly baked goodies and Castellina in Chianti was a charming town with great restaurants.
