Whenever I get into Cairns with family, there's no other place I'd rather stay then the Villa Vaucluse. It's safe, secure and rooms are comfortable, extra beds to cater for other's. The inside is like a tropical forest itself and gives me that peace of mind and tropical setting. Central location in the city and walking distance to all amenities, cinema, restaurants etc. Love the pool and BBQ area for outside entertainment. Looking forward to my next stay there.

I had a very memorable experience with Kirsten who was willing to go the extra mile for me. She offered to provide delivery of some wine, and very pleasantly surprised me by offering a complimentary small bottle of bubbles. Thank you so much Kirsten, we really enjoyed our stay.

Great place with an excellent management. Kirsten is going this extra mile for her customers, making them feel special and look after them in the best way one can expect. The rooms are clean and fresh, the ones to the pool side are absolutely quiet. A self contained place with good quality standards.

We did love staying here - right in town but quiet, despite construction next door which did not concern us, balcony overlooking the lovely, warm pool, comfortable and clean rooms, and friendly staff. BTW Brett has sold the apartments. Kirsten was the office manager. She was charming and friendly, but forgot repeated requests to provide us with a jug of milk. We ended up buying some from Woollies a few blocks away. We had to contend with a cantankerous auto-door opener for the basement carpark and eventually had the batteries replaced. Then the batteries in the aircon unit died and we had to have them replaced. Despite the in-room folder saying there are two separate aircon controls, only one is provided. Oh, and on the 2nd day, the bedroom aircon started leaking water onto the bedroom carpet. This was fixed at once. Wait for it - then the washing machine would not work and we had to manually fill the machine with water from a bucket to get it to work - on wash cycle and again on rinse. We jokingly thought we were in a Mr Bean movie what with all the hassles. Still, with all that, we did enjoy the stay here and used the pool and bbq daily. I would have rated the stay a 4 if not for all that and we would choose to stay here again - no way we could have all that happen again, surely. *grin*

This hotel is right in the CBD so it is in a perfect location to visit all the cafes, shops, galleries and new aquarium. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and even a bathtub. I had a balcony overlooking the pool. The pool is private and surrounded by gardens. However, the best part of staying here is Kirsten, the manager. She will do everything to ensure you enjoy your stay. She is friendly, warm and helpful. I felt like i was being treated like family. I will stay again! Thanks Kirsten for being so fabulous!!!!
