The rooms are dated and in need of some maintenance - they are correct for the price and location. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast wasn't great - give that a miss. Lots of great sites and restaurants within walking distance.

My studio apartment was comfortable, if a bit worn. Kitchen was fully equipped and quite handy for me cooking most meals. The location is excellent, right next to Rossio plaza and the metro. The hotel has a nice rooftop bar with amazing views and a small pool. Good price for the location.

We stayed for a couple of nights on 8th floor. I see some other reviewers complained about noice we however had no such problems maybe because the location of our room. Just under the roof terrace with bar and pool. From our balcony we had great panorama views over beutiful Lisboa. Breakfast at the hotel was ok. But even better was that our room had a small kitchen so we make or own meals. I gladly recommend this hotel.

The building is historic. The staff very nice. Housekeeping staff excellent. However, if you are looking for an updated hotel, I think you will be disappointed. Our room looked like the latest from 1997. That being said the rooms are a good value and the location is unbeatable. You literally walk out the front door to the metro stop. They could help out a little with supplies in the Kitchen. There's a dishwasher, but no soap or dish towels, the knife couldn't cut butter and a can and wine opener would be nice. If you stay here long term be prepared bring your own knife and corkscrew.

I have been staying at this hotel for close to 20 years, and I have to say that this establishment is resting on it's laurels.
On my recent stay, there was serious drilling taking place on the ground floor, where they are converting part of the building into a Mango clothing store.
This heavy drilling commenced at 07.30am and continued until 20:00 daily.
At the end of my tether, and after spending close to 400euros for three nights, I asked if I could be moved to a quieter part of the hotel, only to be told that the only available room was two floors directly below mine and the noise would be far worse.
I tried to explain that, in my opinion, a hotel was a place to come to sleep and rest, and I quite reasonably asked why they were taking money from people while knowing that their stay would be unbearable.
Indifference is the word to describe the staffs reaction, and if I had not paid in advance, I would have certainly checked out and gone somewhere else.
Apart from that, the standard has steadily eroded over recent years and the list is endless.
Coffee percolators and many other kitchen accessories now gone, vintage film posters removed from hallways, 4 members of staff at the bar on the roof gathered around a smartphone ignored me for several minutes while I waited...etc...etc.
A very poor customer service experience all round unfortunately.
