Our 'suite' was way more than a suite with 2 and a half baths, two bedrooms, living room and kitchen and a huge veranda with table and chairs; plus we really did have an ocean view, even though it wasn't promoted as such. The staff was friendly and very efficient, the pool clean and refreshing and the ocean/beach area, laid back and peaceful. We were approached by more relaxed Mexican's selling coconuts with straws and fresh mangos dipped in chili and lime than by the typical stream of pushy vendors (although I did buy an inexpensive mother of pearl ankle bracelet). The restaurant was adequate and convienent ( keep in mind though the hours were limited) instead, we took the short 10-15 minute walk into town each day. Vista Vallarta in Bucerias is lovely and we will definitely be back!

I guess after reading all these reviews I was expecting more; however, the whole experience could have been better... at a different property. You get what you pay for.
Getting there:
About a 35 minute drive in a rental, probably about hour and 15 mins on bus.
Location:
Away from touristy places which is fine for a family trip not looking to go out and party.
The property:
A little dated but fine, right on the beach.
Old school key for your room and safe.
The beach: Not kid friendly, water is NOt cristal clear, wave current constatly active. Kinda dissapointing.
The staff: Carlos the evening clerk looked like he hated working there, the restaurant waitress was very serious too didnt smile much and the bar lady (older lady) look like she could really use a drink.
The cleaning ladies on the other hand were wonderful, didnt mind tipping them well for that reason. Specially Susana.
The restaurant: let's say I am 99% sure I got food poison from the burger I got there the last day, it looked disgusting but we were so hungry that we figured it'd be okay. The fries were dipped in a thick layer of grease. I highly regret ordering food from this place.
We went into the wrong building the first day by accident and a worker followed us when we realized we were in the wrong building he was right behind us asking if we were lost, it was very creepy. He was actually following us.
I would def pick a different place if we were to go back to Puerto Vallarta.

Spacious suites, lovely pool, perfect beach. The hotel is close to the highway so some of the back rooms get some noise, but the front rooms, balconies, pool, palapa bar and beach are wonderful. The rooms aren't posh, but sturdy and well equipped, and every suite has a lovely view. Our suite had a laundry room too which was great for wet towels and swimsuits The food is mostly good. Breakfast can sometimes be a little shaky if you prefer an American style breakfast. And although they say the café opens at 9:00, it usually isn't open until a little later. No problem to stock up on coffee etc. and do breakfast in your own suite, which is what most guests do. Nescafe is standard for coffee unless you specifically ask for something else, the toast is not very tasty, and you have to ask for butter. Hotcakes don't come with syrup unless you ask (and sometimes they can't find it). Eggs are good though! and bacon. Other offerings like fish tacos, guacamole, salsa, hamburgers are all great. The bartender does WONDERFUL margaritas and she's a lovely person. The staff are all kind and eager to help. We traveled with a 9 yr old child and she was in pool or ocean about 12 hours a day. Lots of families staying there with babies and kids and seniors. Jut the sort of place we hoped for. Easy walk along the beach or by the back streets to the village for evening meal, and lots of choice there. Beachfront places serve nice fish meals and your kids can frolic in the surf right in front of you. Memorable walk at sunset back home along the beach. Miss it already.

Big and spacious. two bedrooms living room and kitchen. cool breeze off the ocean meant we only needed to kick on the A/C for sleeping. This is a well kept secret... we will definitely come back next time we visit Nayarit! full service kitchen with 24 hour room service!

I was able to book the last room available for my trip. great space for the price. I was very surprised at the size of the room(s). The pool is great, and the beach is very quiet. The grounds are very well left, and the staff is probably the most friendly staff of any hotel I've been to recently. The bar specials are awesome and cheap. The only downside is the rooms are noisy because of the roadway so close.
For the price ($120 US) per night was a hell of a bargain for what you get
