Gorgeous place, beautifully decorated and fabulous ambience... Will return for sure!! Thank you for making the Alps even more wonderful. Yummy breakfast, lovely grounds and friendly staff even though our German was very broken.

We bookes this hotel via secret escapes.
When we entered the hotel, it looked like an upgraded youthhostel with a teenager at the reception with a piercing.
We got a room where defenitely somebody has smoked. In first instance the hotel was fully booked after asking for restitution, suddenly there was a room available.
The room offers enough space, but the bed is nearly on the ground. The bathroom is very nice, the balcony (first floor) is above the garden where you can stare at one of each other. the chairs are obviously well used. The wooden floor is pleasant until somebody in the room above you starts walking.
After we saw a lot of people walking with their dogs, I asked the reception is there are special rooms for guests with dogs. the answer was that all rooms with wooden floors are available for guests with dogs, so also our room. Not a very pleasant idea, knowing some people sleep with their dog.!
In case you have not bookes half board, you have bearly choice where to sit in the restaurant, also you can have dinner at 18.30 or 20.30, except when you booked half board you can come whenever you want.
The swimmingpool and the sauna are good. The garden needs an upgrade and there are hardly places where you can sit in the shadow.
There is also lack of management.
Sometimes internet is not working properly.
If you are lucky you can park your car nearby the hotel.
What you see on the website is not what it is in reality.
We don't feel very welcome.
Amazing food and service!

I went with three friends for a dinner on Saturday and we had a very special evening.
Konstantin, the restaurant manager, was very friendly and helpful (awesome wine recommendation and service).
For us, it was very pleasant to see that all the employees can speak English at a very high level.
Vasili took good care of us and extra wishes got resolved by Konstantin. Thank you for an amazing service and we will, for sure, come again.
Also, very nice design.
Ok but rather expensive

Do not visit during april-may. Most of the hotels and restaurants are closed and you will be forced to eat in same place = hochsitz at hotel walliserhof. This restaurant has decent food offer but the service is iiiincredibly slow. We checked in the restaurant at 20.30 and got the first course around 22.30. For aby normal restaurant 2 hours waiting time is between absurd and ridiculous. However, at Walliserhof this seemed to be quite normal. There was no apologies even though most guests seemed to be quite offended by the slow service.
The rooms at hotel were tidy and neat. Be sure to take a konfort plus room at least. All other hotels below this grade are so small that you dont have enough to turn around in your room. The prices are above average, probably due to rich swiss visitors who find 250 eur for nigh quite okayisch even though the quality is not that high.
Thanks but no thanks.

Here is my experience with some facts and hope that it helps you.
#1. I had a problem with their booking system which might happen anywhere. Completely understood however the way they handled it made me quite disappointed. We (two) were given probably the smallest and most inconvenient room ever at a cost of ~140€/Night. Why were I disappointed?
Because
a) All the furniture were in white colour with poor quality which does not meet with the expectation of "Design Concept". Our room had nothing to do with the pictures shown on the hotel's website.
b) The bed collapsed when I was sleeping on it.
c) In the shower cabinet, the water was not going through which means you need to wait.
d) The room was so small that we could not walk around when we opened two big suitcases at the same time.
e) Despite leaving the balcony door open, somehow there has never been a fresh air in the room. I still could not figure out that air in the room.
f) The heaters were at 5 but not warm. Yet the temperature of the room was okay.
#2. Poor service.
a) We were four at the dinner and everyone ordered starters and three of us ordered soups. They were served in different times which took away the joy of eating altogether.
b) We had to ask for three times to get the wine.
c) We sit at the table at 20:30 and the main dishes were served at 22:20. After hiking and swimming, last thing you want is such delay on the food.
In order to make it up to us upon our friendly feedback, we were told that the coffee would be on the house. Well, only one of us took as a sign of courtesy. Oh, and one dessert afterwards was deducted from the total amount. Merci.
Well, I must say that the staff listens to you very politely and they were all very friendly. But in the end of the day, the job required is not done well.
On the other hand, the swimming pool is very well located. It has a spectacular view. But almost all the hotels in that neighbourhood have stellar mountain views. Food is decent and they have got so many tea varieties. In that region, everything is fresh and very delicious.
Thanks but no thanks.
