Lovely few days break
Elaine Con 09/11/2017 14:45Lovely warm welcome by Richard the owner . The room was first rate , very trendy in the music theme room . Unfortunately I can only use a shower and it has a spa bath, but it was no problem for Richard to let us change our room for one with a shower . The breakfast was really good too . The Wanslea is 5 minuets walk from town centre It also has limited parking but there is parking at the back of Wanslea on the road . Well worth a visit .

Christine Von 06/11/2017 17:51Stayed at wanslea for 2 nts in the Arabic room lovely clean and spacious ...breakfast was lush good portions and very tasty ..close to pubs shops etc. Garden centre straight across road to browse around and a short walk to the steamer for a ride out .loved our stay thankyou to you both would Defoe return . 🥂
Very pleasant stay
Bamb41on 31/10/2017 12:26We shared a twin on the top floor with our pooch. Room was fine although beds a bit low for me. Very clean, bathroom was good. Tea/coffee making facilities and biscuits. Wifi works well. Flatscreen too on wall. All fine for me. Breakfasts were first class. Location very good. Just a few minutes walk from the centre. Host very pleasant. We will definitely be back
Excellent value for money.
KPD70on 29/10/2017 15:59We had a two night stay at the wanslea and it was excellent value for money. The only issue we had was the size if the twin beds in room 6 (a little too small for my husband). We were allowed to take our dog at no extra charge, and though not allowed in other areas of the B&B (not an issue for us) the landlord provided her with a sausage every day (much appreciated). I like the location as there is a short walk into ambleside which means you can escape the hustle and bustle. We will definitely be returning. Breakfast was super too.

The room was really nice and clean with a spa bath and big comfy bed.
Richard the owner met us upon arrival and was very pleasant and helpful.
Easy to find right opposite the garden centre. We parked for free on the road just at the back of the property(200 yards away).
It was a rock n roll themed room.. Books and wall pictures of Elvis and a guitar hung on the wall with a spotlight to highlight.. Even a sparkly toilet😀
Breakfasts both mornings were well presented and really tasty.
It is a 5 to 10 min walk to waterside where you can catch the red route boat to Bowness(about £10 each return)
It's about the same distance in the other direction into the lovely village of Ambleside where there are numerous places to eat and drink..
Overall a lovely stay
