Great stay at Hilton Washington. Great location. Upgraded to a double room which was terrific after the places we’d stayrd in where so small. Access to executive room, and hhonors member 15% off card for use in cafe and meals area.

First and foremost, the service here was stellar. Courtney greeted me upon check-in late in the evening and was great, with a relaxed yet professional approach. She even upgraded my room for me without my request, which I appreciate given that I booked via a conference website with no room-type guaranteed (from a double to a king room with a view of the monument).
My primary gripe was the standard Internet speed, which clocked in at roughly .81 mbps during on-peak (that's 2x avg. dial-up speeds of 50 kbps) and ~4 mbps during off-peak. There are numerous reasons why Internet quality can suffer, but I found that speeds were abysmal throughout my stay. I had to wait until 10:30 p.m. to write this review, for example, which is also long after I want to do any work.
Usage by the neighbouring rooms is partly to blame, but I expect a reasonable standard of Internet in 2017. The reason why I did not deduct further points is because most hotels severely neglect this aspect of their service. If management could improve their standard service so that the average user receives ~10mbps during peak times, then this might provide an incentive to upgrade to the premium tier. Seeing what was on offer for standard made me avoid premium despite my willingness to pay. Market research shows that customers look to Internet access beyond almost all other factors when choosing a hotel, yet many venues fail to deliver adequate service. I realize that data plans mitigate this fact somewhat, but as an international visitor I can tell you I am ecstatic when hotels deliver consistent access, even if not actually high-speed (defined as 25 mbps or higher as per the FCC).
Lastly, regarding food, I had a quick bite of brunch at the Sidecar restaurant and was delighted with the quality of the two-egg breakfast, complete with potatoes, meat, tomatoes and asparagus. Thank you to the kitchen staff!

Spend a weekend here for my sister's wedding. As our Airbnb ended up not having heating and we needed to quickly move to a hotel, this was the perfect choice and service was beyond awesome.
Highly recommend! Not only is the hotel great, the location is too!

On arrival we checked in with a lady called Isabell she was absolutely lovely, really helpful and gave us great advice. The room was very comfortable and clean, the hotel well situated for DuPont Circle and the Metro. I would definitely stay here again, thanks Isabell

Liked: location, the service and the room!
Disliked: The bed (room 10242) .. too soft or something like that., woke up with back pain!
Also was charged by mistake of parking garage.. so watch your bill..
Even i stopped at the desk and asked if i had only room charges..
Next time i will want a printed bill and check it..
Its ok mistakes, but its not ok having the wrong answer from desk that i had just room charged..
But I will return!
