I was booked here by a business associate and was skeptical. The reviews pick apart minor things, but the experience at this property is exceptional. First of all, the location is exceptional. Blocks away from Piccadilly and Park Lane, my favorite part of London. Very close to many restaurants and prominent hotels. The rooms were very nice well maintained and nicely appointed. The style of the rooms was exceptional. It is around the corner from the posh Mayfair hotel which is much more expensive and not necessarily any nicer. I stayed there and have to say I was more impressed with the Washington Mayfair. If you want Posh front of house service go to The Mayfair. If you want a great value and a very nice hotel a good price go to the Washington Mayfair hotel. Of course, their are always improvements to be made and I'm sure WM will make them. On the plus - my room was very nice, quiet. The breakfast buffet was great and included in my rate. For meetings there is much more common areas to meet. I had two meetings there that wouldn't have been as possible in The Mayfair down the street. Punch line - go to the Washington Mayfair and you will be very happy!

I went to this hotel to celebrate an anniversary. The bed was so uncomfortable with a huge dip on one side. We got woken up multiple times in the night due to slamming doors from room service. The duvet was rubbish and very uncosy. The aircon was so noisy and consequently we had to turn it off to sleep, which meant we were really hot and uncomfortable. There was also a really large gap under the door and a bright light on in the hallway, which shined into our room. The mirror did not align with the chair, which meant having to stand at the dressing table. Additionally, room did not come with an iron, we asked for one and got it sent to our room and it was awful and didn’t even get the creases out of our clothing. We raised all these issues with the staff at check out and they were far from apologetic and just said they would raise it with house keeping - and actually said ‘oh noisy neighbours’ but did not apologise for the room service staff making noise/slamming doors. As well as this, the lifts were dirty with stains on the flooring. The hotel needs a refurb and a good cleaning. We will not be returning which is a shame because the hotel is in great location.

Nice quiet hotel in a good location. Staff very friendly and helpful and didn’t feel rushed so able to enjoy the experience. Unlimited tea and coffee. Short walk from Green Park tube and 5 minute walk into Berkeley Square. Would definitely recommend.

Although the Mayfair was clean and comfortable, had nice amenities, good breakfast, great staff - our room on the street side was terribly noisy both at night and morning. Replacing the windows with double paned, noise-reducing glass would solve this problem, but until then it is a huge drawback to staying here. A few things to work on - the shower/tub didn't drain well (you shower standing in a foot of water) and we had to ask 3 times for extra hangers for the closet. On the positive side - it is a great location, helpful & friendly staff, good breakfast, clean, fairly reasonable for the area, safe, and has comfortable beds. Rooms are a bit small, but manageable.

We stayed at the Washington as part of an organized tour and were wonderfully pleased. The hotel is clean and comfortable and in a fantastic location. Breakfast was included and was very good. I particularly wish to recognize one of the servers at breakfast, Khadijah. After my first cup of coffee, I generally switch to decaf coffee and after providing this one morning, she remembered and had it ready the next morning that she was on duty. I thought this was above and beyond and hope her employer knows how considerate she is.
