We wanted to research this area and WaterColor Inn was perfect for the two of us. The room was lovely and the gulf view could not be beat. The entire staff was excellent. From the bell men to every waiter we were impressed. Every single person that helped us and waited on us made us feel like royalty. The cleaning staff was the best and so cheerful. The resort is in a super spot to drive down the coast to Seaside, Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach. Seaside is a fun vibe with food trucks and music. Now we would like to bring our son and his family.

We visited the Inn for a second time and we won't be back. Two families of three each, traveling together. It's been three years since our first visit and the condition of the rooms has deteriorated. Skanky carpet, stained furniture, rusting metal fixtures...you get the picture. The common areas of the Inn look fine, but look under the covers and you see an owner that's short-changing maintenance. Service remains outstanding and that's the lone bright spot. The town of Watercolor has little in the way of business amenities. So, you'd think a four star resort hotel would have a gift shop/sundry store...but no. You've got to hoof it a couple of miles to a Publix grocery store for your needs. You'd think a resort would have some type of laundry facility to allow you to dry your wet clothes...but no. No microwave. This place is very expensive. Figure $500 a night. Oh, and the always evident resort fee of $40/day. At least the wifi is built into the daily costs. Oh, you want an umbrella and chairs on the beach..figure $50-70/day. The small community of Watercolor is quiet and quite unlike Destin, but just realize there's little to see away from the Inn so plan accordingly. Bottom line; I don't see this being a four star resort, and it's way overpriced for what you get. Cheers!

Watercolor Inn is one of only a few hotels located on the beach side of 30A.
We enjoyed our stay and I really enjoyed having access to Campcreek golf course which is private unless you stay on a St Joe property.
We had a significant discrepancy with our bill and it took several phone calls and emails to get it resolved but Louis remained professional throughout and I appreciate that.

Just spent 4 days at Watercolor Inn and am already wishing I could go back! The amenities are awesome, inn is beautiful, food amazing at all of the restaurants, but what makes this place a step above is the staff. From the moment you arrive until you leave, you are spoiled rotten! Customer service is off the charts. Derek, Andrew, Sean, Emily, David, Somjai, more than I can remember, were all awesome. Do yourself a favor, book this resort, you won't be sorry. We will definitely be back.

My adult kids and I decided to extend our stay in Seaside, so we stayed at the WaterColor Inn. The service is excellent, accommodations are first rate, staff is amazing! The restaurant, Fish Out of Water, had an absolutely gourmet breakfast menu. The veggie omelet is great. We also ate there for dinner. It's pricey, but then, the whole resort experience is expensive. The dinner was also excellent, with an amazing souffle' for dessert.
Only issue is that all mixed drinks seemed really watered down. The drinks are not cheap either, but every one was pretty light on alcohol. I recommend sticking to the wine.
Staff throughout the resort was very helpful and polite. I would definitely recommend staying here.
