What People are saying

Nice Hotel but it needs to up it's game on breakfast

windsorwalshon 06/11/2017 16:12

The hotel is nicely situated in the heart of the downtown. It was an easy walk to restaurants. The gym was nice with a view of the water from the machines. My only complaint was the breakfast. For the quality of the hotel, the breakfast was sad. It was what you might expect from a roadside motel that has no restaurant. Paper plates and plastic cutlery. Why? The hotel has a restaurant.

Good location to get around

Stayed here before but it does seem to have improved. Staff are very helpful. Rooms are comfortable with plenty of usb and electrical outlets available. Good wi-fi connection throughout the building. Only downside is that at weekends it is a bit of a kids playground in the corridors but it's youthful excitement. If you ask then they will keep the noise down. Good breakfast is provided and the only thing I didn't really like was eating with plastic cutlery on paper plates. For the couple of negatives I wouldn't hesitate to return as everything else serves my needs perfectly.

Weekend stay

corey son 24/10/2017 18:19

My wife and I just stayed at the hotel this past weekend, and we were not impressed. Check in was great but that was about it. The TV in the room had no channels and the ones that it did have were hard to watch because of the picture. We tried to use the pool and hotter only to find an entire hockey team had taken over the entire area, with parents openly drinking alcohol. They were walking back an forth from their room with open drinks, and kids were running around not supervised. I called the front desk when we got back to our room, and the response I got was "ok great”, ok great what, you have an upset guest and not a thing was done or apology. Breakfast in the morning was worse, to only have one little section of seats open for everyone. People had no where to eat, there clearly was not enough food for guests as well. Also called for room service, but no one would answer the phone. For the price we paid to stay at the hotel I expected a lot more, truly disappointed and won’t be staying there again or recommending the hotel to anyone.

Super hotel

I stayed at this hotel while in Burlington for business. Upon arrival I asked for a room change as I had a room with a door for an adjoining room and my preference is not to be in this type of room. Shane at the front desk moved me immediately and he was very nice about it.
The hotel is located right beside the lake and the view is lovely. There is a long wharf , a walking trail, and a tiny beach just outside the door.
I stayed here for 4 nights and found the hotel to be clean, the location is excellent for access to the downtown core, the staff was super friendly and helpful, the daily breakfast was really good, and the in house restaurant was enjoyable (have the warm cookie and ice cream for dessert)

Newly renovated

fortitudeX4on 03/10/2017 01:57

Stayed at this property 27&28 September. Newly renovated rooms which are very nice with blues and greys. Washrooms are large but lack towel bars for hanging towels you wish to re-use, and a soap dish in the bath/shower. Hotel restaurant was very good although the complimentary breakfast could've been improved with cutlery and china plates - not cardboard. This would be OK if there was a container to recycle your plastic cutlery and paper plates along with composting...but there was just a large garbage can. Not what I would say is sustainable or environmentally sensitive as this property touts itself. We also had a power outage in the evening - and although we were offered flashlights - there was no other comps provided. As a note - there is a $5 per night per room charge to park at this hotel. Recommend higher floor - rooms at 00 level are at eye level of passers by and can be noise from staff areas. 3rd floor is nice - but ask for rooms on the west side...310, 312, 314 for the best waterfront views.
