An Oasis

We stayed the recently for 1 night, would have been happy to stay longer. It is an "oasis" in the jungle (town). Large rooms, very quite. Amazing building with great views. Breakfast was very nice and extensive compared to other places we stayed. Staff very friendly and helpful. The only misleading advertising is the "dunes", as they are a long way from the hotel. Happy to recommend.
OK but somewhat soulless

Sprawling hermitage property mixing old and new. Looks great amidst the chaos outside....but ....not much soul or life, menu options are limited and ( when we were there at least) building works around the swimming pool ruined the calm and filled the air around with brick dust. Pleanty of potential but lacking charm
Wonderful location but could be better

On the edge of the thar desert this hotel is a veritable oasis. It looks fantastic with buildings floodlight at night and lots of lovely terraces and gardens. There is also a vintage car museum to view. We stayed one night and our room was an inner courtyard. Ask for one overlooking the pool. The pool was large but dirty with insects and detritus from the surrounding vegetation and the attendants did not seem to do very much at all. Indeed at one stage they moved our towels and looked for a tip! We found that a lot with the staff. The bell boy who brought our two small cases up to our room laughed when I gave him 10r tip! We ate on the terrace in the moonlight overlooking the pool which was very nice. However,be aware that the hotel caters for tour parties and the terrace was set up for a help yourself buffet which was crowded the night we ate. We ordered off the a la Carter menu and one dish was ok the other lukewarm and not very good. Breakfast similarly was nothing special. Given the location and buildings gardens this hotel could be 5 star. It needs a good shake up in my opinion. I would spend my money elsewhere next time.
Perfect place to be pampered

Beautiful place. Hospitality is just excelent and the rooms are perfect. Want to be pampered be there. Dunes are breath taking. We loved the place. Food was just ok. Its a beautiful place for a weekend stay. Wont recomend a long holiday as nothing much to see near about. We had dropped our specs at the dunes. We kep the reception posted abt it. They were found and couriered to us in Delhi.
We are in love with the level of honesty and hospitality showered by the staff.
