our son got married in this hotel in November 2016 and the staff could not have been more helpful and supportive to the families and the guests and made it a memorable day
as the grooms parents w e were given a voucher for afternoon tea and due to being away from home a lot over the past year we only took advantage of the offer today
we were greeted in the usual friendly way from the moment we arrived at the front door until we left 2 hours later and made it another memorable day especially as we took a friend who couldnt attend the funeral last year
the afternoon tea was beautiful from your own choice of fresh sandwiches to the scone and clotted cream and jam to the cakes which included a brandy basket stuffed with strawberries and cream and extra tea and coffee was no problem

Stayed one night at this hotel and enjoyed it very much. Room was spacious, clean and with a queensize bed. Nice touches were apples, still and fizzy water and hand made shortbread in the room,
all the glasses were covered with a lid. This is the first hotel I have stayed in which
had a pillow menu on the bedside table.
Had what we thought was a sandwich for lunch, but what arrived was much more of a meal and very tasty. Evening meal was excellent. Diningroom staff very helpfull which
I appreciate as I have dietary requirements.
All the staff were pleasant, helpfull and friendly.

From arrival until departure all staff from reception, bar to breakfast waitresses all made the stay exceptional. A credit to all that is good about Scottish hospitality. Will certainly be returning soon.

We stayed at this Hotel on Thursday, 26th October. it is situated cheek by jowl with Ayr Racecourse, so I can only imagine the cost on race days!! Ours was superb value for money. The room is huge, beautifully appointed with some 'nice' touches such as his and hers dressing gown and slippers; fresh fruit; lovely Scottish shortbread and tea/coffee/hot chocolate making facilities. We ate in the Restaurant that night and had a superb, freshly-cooked meal served by super Waitressing Staff. Breakfast the next morning was equally good. Fresh fruit juice, granola, (porridge and kippers if that is to your taste!) and a lovely cooked breakfast. Every member of Staff we met was friendly; genuinely interested in your story and nothing was too much trouble. There is no doubt Weddings and the Races are their staple. This means we, if we choose wisely can get a super deal for a stay. I would highly recommend this Hotel.

A really nice hotel with a good restaurant, helpful staff and a great location in Ayr. First time in the main house which was a nice change, slightly better decor than the ‘annex’ & obviously no need to brace the weather going to & fro.
Food is good in the restaurant.
