You're lucky enough to give me invitation to stay at the Westin in Palm Desert. The hotel was fantastic and the room, with the kitchen and big living room area, was perfect for four days of golf.
They even have a pool called the quiet pool that's perfect for adults. Not a bunch of kids clamoring around if you wanted to be quiet. The only problem is, they've got a lot of construction going on so the quiet pool was so quiet. But, all in all it was a great five days.

I was really expecting this to be the perfect get-away, but it fell short in some spots. The villas were lovely, the grounds beautifully manicured, and the check in process was painless. However, little things like my key card not working, there not being any music at the pool until I called each day, and the fact that I tried to get a pizza delivered and it took two hours to get it actually in my room were a bit annoying. After 4 pm one afternoon, I had to flag down a housekeeper, as my room had not been cleaned--and there was something wrong with the coffee maker in my room--wrong carafe, I believe. I would think that these things would be checked by staff, but I guess not.
That being said, some of the staff members were super--in particular IAN at the pool. He was friendly, courteous and made everyone feel welcome there. He's a great example of primo guest service!
We would return if I can find a hot deal on a villa. Otherwise, I would rather visit the Westin Mission Hills Villas, or even the Homewood Suites in La Quinta I'm rather fond of.

Great for a family getaway, very kid (toddler) friendly pool, 1 ft deep to be exact. Nice BBQ grills available, but make sure you can get to the market to get what you need for the BBQ. Downside: only 1 restaurant available (Agave) and mediocre food at best.

We did a quick girls getaway in between Coachella and Stage Coach, and the Westin was a perfect destination. Multiple pools, a nice gym, spacious apartments, and convenience to shops and restaurants make it a good choice for friends or families.

Invited here by some food friends who own part of the timeshare with Westin. The rooms were fantastic. We had two adjoining rooms. Easily sleep 4 people per suite. Full kitchen and dining. We enjoyed eating at the on-sight restaurant the first night. Spent hours at the pool. Kids loved it and so did we.
