Wanna B Here Some More

Went for a quick weekend getaway, and regretted it instantly. Because it was too quick, we wish we had more time!
We had a room opening directly to the Gulf, was more Old Florida style, which I far prefer to South Beach chic. Right in front of the room was a covered picnic table, and then the beach. Couldn't ask for a much more in a location.
The place was over 90% full, and we often felt nearly alone. The state park is right there, and that beach actually was 10 times more crowded then ours ever got. And that beach never even got that crowded.
Shark teeth and shells everywhere. Dolphin daily, I got to paddle board with them multiple times. World class sunsets right out our door every night.
The walk (or paddle) to Stump Pass is way, way worth it. A GREAT area to spend the whole day, just bring all your supplies with. Long walk, big reward. If you have a cart that can be pulled through sand, BRING IT.
Also, Englewood Beach, when we were there, had a great shallow area for kids & exploring (keep in mind, the ocean constantly shifts and they rebuild the beaches all the time, so this is subject to change.)
Only "negative" really was how absolutely packed the restaurants are, which has nothing to do with the hotel. 1,000% call the free golf cart service that serves 2 restaurants as parking is nearly impossible at times. Plus the service allows adults to "enjoy" the great Tiki Bars.
This is a place that is nice for weekends, but even better for long trips. Peaceful, yet a ton of action is alway there. Boat ramp and docks are onsite, so if you are boating, this is also perfect for you.
Laid back and peaceful location

About our fourth time here and still wonderful.
Right next to Stump Pass Park, quiet location and right on the beach.
Plenty of good dining options just down at the roundabout.
Friendly staff and good service.
The place grew on me and I came to appreciate it!!

We stayed at the WannaB Inn for three nights while in the area for a wedding. Checking in late, it was difficult to see or appreciate the area. The room was nothing to look at and we quickly went to bed. The morning light revealed a very clean, older motel with numerous buildings sitting right on the Gulf of Mexico. Many of the things in the room appeared to be purchased new for the season. The sheets, dishes, shower curtain, etc. all appeared to be new. The paint was fresh and colorful both inside and out. Location was fabulous - never saw so many perfect shells on a beach anywhere. We also enjoyed walking access to Stump Pass State Park - it provided a great, early morning nature walk!
Guys Annual Fishing Trip

Just the guys this year, for their annual fishing trip to Weston's Wanna B Inn, and they had a BLAST!! Great weather, great fishing, great times together! This was a much anticipated trip and the guys really needed a break away from everything, and it fit the bill for them.
Well kept older motel with great location.

We stayed there in October which meant that it was not very busy in Manasota Key where the motel is located but the weather remains summer-like. Found lots of shark teeth on the beach but not any big ones that make the hunt worthwhile. The room, which is basically a one bedroom apartment, was clean but a little sparsely furnished but we had all we needed to have a great time. All the things you might need like fast food and Walmart are a few miles away in Englewood. Definitely would stay there again. Staff was very pleasant to deal with.
