Nice weekend getaway option and convenient location in Lonavala.

I visited this resort in Dec 2016 and I must say that there are very few hotels/resorts who deliver actually as promised on there websites.

One of the striking features of this resort is that there is actual space to play around and plan events. Unlike other resorts, which are usually crowded and rooms are crammed. Here all the rooms have there views and almost all have a verandah or balcony space where you can sit and enjoy nature.

So even if the resort is full, it won't seem to be crowded so the service is not affected as well. I would give management a cheers for the same.

Location:
This is conveniently located near the Neeta Travels Hotel and so even if you plan to come here without your own vehicle, it is no problem. Just hop onto any Neeta : Mumbai - Pune bus and get down at the Neeta Hotel and just across the highway, the resort is located.

Also beside the resort the new Wax museum is present, and a small kids play are where kids can enjoy some bumping cars or some video games.

Room:
The rooms are neat and tidy and there is also option of tents, which I have not tried but sounds exciting and I may try next time.
The bathroom/toilet is neat and the amenities are as promised. Rooms have TV and good room service. The service is prompt.

Service:
Service is very good, and in particular the in-charge in restaurant is very good. He has been in the restaurant for a long time, as he describes and is very generous and courteous. On first day, we faced some trouble as the service was slow, however, he promised to make correction and next 2 days, the service was prompt and top notch.

The food is the specialty and is worth a try. Don't go by my review, I would suggest you can stop by and try the food once. The restaurant in-charge is open for the suggestions and requests and he ensures that the requests are taken into consideration actually while preparing the food. So for example, if you request less spicy and less oily, you will actually get food that is oil free and less spicy but the taste is not compromised.

Kids:
This is particular is a big plus as very few resorts or hotels have kids garden. The kids garden here as some slides and see-saws and they are well maintained by management. Plus there is a ground where kids can play football or frisbee or simply run around :)

Pool:
The pool is well maintained and there is a shower room. The water is clean and treated regularly.

Indoor games:
Here the resort needs to improve a bit, as the TT table and carom are too shabby. Also the badminton rackets need replacement.
My request to management would be to improve the facilities in indoor games and this is the only point of improvement I think that needs to be worked upon.

An excellent place to be

We had a school reunion and what an place to be for this event. Infact it was the 2nd time we were here. It feels like a private resort well supported by the excellent service. The staff is not only courteous but also eager to serve at any given time. The food was all the more tempting to keep eating. Excellent team and efforts......

Would not go here again

I had come with my wife at whispering woods as a quick getaway from mumbai and i am certainly not going there ever again
Firstly, the place is expensive for the kind of ameneties offered. While the tent was nice and cozy, the swimming pool was dirty and we couldnt get in the water.
Also, there were a lot of insects in the water which compelled me to come out of the pool soon as i went in.
The service was poor. I asked for a mug of water to clean the glass of my car, and they said it was chargeable. Not sure why! I had no problem paying the money, but this felt like an extortion. Hence i had to take my car all the way at my tent, fill a jug myself from bathroom and spray it on the windshield.

So it starts this way -
Rooms not ready for check in on the day of arrival.
It's was an horrible service and treatment provided. Room needs lot of maintenance.
Don't go on the pictures while booking through the Webiste. As once you come to hotel there is a totally different and shocking experience.
TVs not working. The staff takes almost 20-40 minutes in fixing the tv but can't.
Staff is totally helpless for all this as told.
Security wise room has main glass door has a small height curtains and one can see everything clearly from outside.
No facilities available in hotel. It's just simply USELESS and waste of money staff.
But again staff is totally helpless.
And at the end the staff says we can't help it as you have made the Booking from makemytrip.

Also, makemytrip needs to check he hotel before showcasing these kind of hotels.

Awesome place for a family vacation

The swimming pool is very family friendly. It has a big baby pool around the actual swimming pool, so that the even toddlers can enjoy. The swimming pool itself is only 4 feet 8 inches deep, so even non swimmers can enjoy. However, the swimming pool cleanliness is not up to the mark and there's moss floating around in the water even after their scheduled early morning and late evening clean-up.

They have room service and 20% off on a la carte. Some of the items are good and some aren't. E. G. In snacks, Corn bhaji and Onion bhaji were not good but Chilli cheese toast was awesome. The buffet (lunch/dinner) was Rs. 500 per head. Just one non-veg main course item (some chicken gravy). One more non-veg item would have made it worthwhile. Complimentary breakfast is good.

Rooms are clean and so are the bathrooms/toilets.

The rooms we had, had a nice lawn in front of it and in front of the lawn was the swimming pool. Awesome view. The resort being adjacent to a dam, gave a chance to see a lot migratory birds flying to and from the dam. Lot of greenery in the resort and around it. Nice location.

Nice weekend getaway. But if you want privacy or you are a big group go during weekdays when the place is pretty much deserted.

Note: Make sure the room has a cupboard and the bathroom door can be locked from inside.
