What People are saying

Too cheap

nitt121 on 20/08/2017 18:02

The facility was clean I must say however the limited lighting and air in the room was quite frustrating. I get it save money where they can but it shouldn't be at the expense of making the guests uncomfortable. We slept in a hot room and the response was 'the air will be cut on in the afternoon' The room was so dim it was not possible to properly make your face or see your clothes well. As stated it's a clean hostel and good location but they should consider making the clients comfortable.

A noisy but nice hostel with a nice staff

I spent 2 nights in this hostel (25-27 of July) in a 8 beds dormitory. It was clean, and there are several bathrooms in all the floors that you can use, if the one of your room is busy !

The shared area is nice, but not very intimate or personal. The kitchen is very small, you have some space to store your food, but make sure you write name/date/and num of room ; I thought that it would be ok if I put my food in the box with the num of my room only, but all my food has been thrown away...and I had kind of bad luck in this place (backing tray which stop working after 5 minutes using it, and problem fixed 1h30 later ; the wifi which stop working when I had to leave and book another hostel and transport in the hour, so I had to go in a cafe...) but I just came at the wrong moment I guess !
The staff is very very nice however, and for the breakfast, you have a lot of choice and the coffe and tea is in free access all day long. The price is maybe a. It expensive for a dormitory of this capacity, but it's a nice hostel.

Great Location

The hostel is clean with spacious rooms and huge private bathrooms. On our last day however, the bathroom got jammed after we returned from the city and the hostel staff had no explaination as to why that happened. Which was strange and it didnt open until we checked out. We had to use the common washroom for this reason.
Apart from that I reay liked the location of the hostel, it was close to all the excursions and eateries in Albazyine, Al Hambra, the main Square and the Hammam. Granada is not a place to take your car as it is completely narrow and cobbled. Also Nacho, at the reception was very sweet and informative. Good experience overall!

I stayed here in late April and I left feeling frustrated. I doubt I will stay at this hostel again because I felt like I just had bad luck a lot of the time. Some of the issues were due to the people I ended up sharing a room with. For that, I do not blame the hostel. Still, it just sort of exacerbated everything else. I was in a room for 8 people and given a top bunk. I'm a short person and on top of that, the floor-to-ceiling cabinet obscured part of the ladder, making it difficult for me to negotiate the climb. I asked multiple times to switch to a bottom bunk but the staff wouldn't accommodate me. I was in that room for five nights. So, I would have been fine staying in the top bed for a night or two, allowing for time to transition me to a bottom bed before a new guest arrives. I don't understand why nobody could be flexible about that.
Also, the plumbing was a little weird. It seemed like if another bathroom was in use, then there was less water and gravity for the toilet in our room's bathroom. One day, I entered and someone's "dookie" was still present. It took me five flushes until there was enough pull to get it to go down.
I did like the decor and spaciousness of the central living area. And overall, the staff were nice people. But there is nothing to entice me enough to stay here again.
