Hotel closed for business

We arrived at the hotel today to find it all but abandoned. Luckily the owners were there to inform us that the company they rented the management rights to up and left a few weeks ago with rent outstanding.
It will be lovely when it reopens(they're currently renovating). The owners were lovely and offered to accommodate us for the night until we found new accommodation. They also fed us which was awesome to experience a family meal!
As I said, when it opens again it will be great for families looking to stay away from the hype of the beach centre.
Fingers crossed a refund from agoda isn't too much of a hassle!

Be very careful when booking with this resort. We booked this hotel last year through Agoda.com and when we arrived at hotel, manager told us that this hotel is not available and he would transfer us to different restaurant which is 3 miles away! The hotel that they transfer us was not actually their partner's hotel but it was actually a clever ploy for them to take your booking money and transfer you somewhere else where you would be paying more money. Finally we had refund back from Agoda.com , However try to avoid this at all cost.
Not a good experience, was expecting better after seeing the ratings

Time of Visit: end of Feb 2014
Visitors: two (me and my wife)
Room: King size room
First things first
What we liked:
Excellent staff very informative and at the same time very helpful specially Mr. Vinayak
Very nice pleasing/soothing surroundings away from the hustle and bustle of a busy town
Room provided was spacious and well maintained at first sight
Average breakfast but can’t expect more at this price
Quick room service
We were provided a complimentary drop till the railway station that was really kind of the hotel staff.
What we didn’t like:
Location of the hotel is at a very remote place actually it’s a small village so if you are getting down at the airport or Madgaon railway station you would have tough time reaching this hotel also this hotel is not really close to any of the beaches.
The refreshing welcome drink on arrival as they quote in the package is a mockery in itself, I mean it’s just Real juice in a really small glass on top of that it is served without any courtesy.
After taking a closer look we were not at all pleased with the amenities like the curtains were torn at some places, the bedding provided was not of good quality and even the quilt which was provided was not at all soft.
We were provided with fresh towels only on first day, after that nobody cared to ask for them; further no cleaning of the room was done during our entire stay i.e. 4 nights and 3 days.
This was only the start of our woes at night on our very first day there was a power break we were like OK this can happen with any hotel and soon generator will take care of the matter but alas the power breaks kept on happening and constantly there were periods when there was no power, when I called the reception they gave excuse stating that the voltage is fluctuating thus they have to switch on and off the generators I mean what the hell can’t you keep running the generators for one night.
Enough on the room coming to the cleanliness of the pool area I mean it was really bad the pool itself was really small and nobody cared to take a bath in it also a very peculiar kind of smell came whenever we happened to visit the welcoming area.
Now to the food though the buffet in the morning was acceptable but one day when we were really tired and ordered food from the hotel itself, to say the least the food was horrible and we didn’t have even ate half of it.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

Hey! Travel Industry i want to share a worst feedback of Willows Elite Resort Goa where we checked in on a sunny thursday afternoon where already we arrived facing heat all over throughout the journey but the moment we cam we were served a welcome drink upon asking four times and then one room was without AC a basic neccesity of a guest.Believe me i am from a travel trade where i see handle all these complaints day in and day out by organising either meals or something or the other by which a guest is happy here my entire experience has gone for a toss when a manager called Vinayak a stupid creation on earth showed khnife to my in laws and teared by brief we kept his name as knifeman. The only thing what i want to tell u all is do not even think to book this hotel in ur dreams as they show u knife when ask for basic necessity and then after realizing offer a drink to you.Worst Hotel Ever seen but one thing what i apprecaite is the owners and my message to them is don't worry u will have to sell this property to some other group rather than a threataning management by Vinayak. And the last but not the least the staff is teriible out there hey u can imagine that a manager who does not respond to complaints on trip advisor is not fit for travel industry.Had it been a Hotel in a jaipur then the hotel license would have gone for a toss. Thanks to Goa Weather and Beaches who kept us cool still..
Life threatening disastrous experience

We checked in here on 29th may afternoon thanks to the goa weather we went calmly at hotel after beating the heat since Jaipur. The hotel is beautiful built up in a very quiet area but the staff, facilities and the pool and ac are worst then your imaginative. On top of demanding AC we were threatened by Vinayak who is a manager oh I am sorry damager rather showed knife to us upon discussion on basic things.Though this is a short feedback which will follow more disastrous feedbacks.Do not even think to book this hotel. But one thing the owners are nice its nothing against them its only a bad management by Yash hospitality.
