The hotel staff were really helpful with some business needs with the business suite of computers and printers, and even a little extra help bringing items to my room for me since I was on crutches during my stay!

There's nothing fundamentally wrong with this hotel; it's just old and out-of-date. There's nowhere near enough seating for the breakfast area, and the self-serve line moved so slowly that I was forced to skip breakfast two of the three mornings I was there. The guest rooms are under-lit, and the bedding feels old. There was no crispness to the sheets. The bathroom was clean enough, but again, it's just old. The amenities one expects from a modern hotel were not present here. When I return to the area, I intend to stay next door at the much-nicer Hilton.

Decided to stay here on our way to south Carolina. We liked it so much that we canceled our return stay at another hotel and booked a room here again. We enjoyed all the amenities especially the hot breakfast. Add sausage and home potatoes and the breakfast would be over the top lol. The bar and food menu is also a great addition that we used on our first night here. The buffalo wings is a must. The burger was a bit overcooked. Overall, nice quite location.

Upon check in we were informed that they gave away two out of three of our rooms and were not satisfied with the resolution. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

The Wingate is one of the places that we enjoy staying at while in Richmond. The amenities are great and the staff is pleasant and helpful.
