Nice, Quiet Place to Stay Away from the Busy Strip

A friend and I spent five nights here last week. After a long drive from LA, we were quite late getting to Big Bear, but arrangements were made to get us a key. The room was everything we expected. Although furnishings were a little dated, it was clean, quiet, and cozy. It included a small refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer, tv, wifi, and a fireplace. The first room we were assigned to had a problem with the heater, so they moved us to a similar room next door. The owner, staff, and maintenance man were all extremely helpful and friendly during our stay. There is a pool and pingpong table, but we did not use either as we spent our days hiking and shopping. This place is away from the main drags and quiet, which is what we wanted, but it is also a short drive to all the restaurants and shops you could want. If we ever get the chance to return to Big Bear, we will definitely stay here again.
Happy we moved hotels to here

We needed to change hotels and fortunately Wolf Creek had a cabin available. The front desk lady is very helpful. The cabin is full of mountain charm, with pine walls; a fireplace; and a porch. It was super quiet, clean, well appointed, comfortable beds.
I'm already planning our next stay.
Staff is really great!

Found this cozy resort online last minute after planning a snowboarding trip up to snow summit. Wanted to spend the weekend up in Big Bear, and glad we found this little gem. Didn't really know what to expect, when we pulled up we noticed mcdonalds and 7-11 were right across the street, as well as Big 5 right next door and pollo loco! This was great because after riding for hours up at snow summit we just wanted to grab something quick to eat and had these options to choose from.
We ended up checking in around 4pm, received our keys from the nice ladies up lobby and went to our chalet room.
The chalet is like a small studio, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. It was nice and toasty when we arrived into the room. There was a futon in the little living room area, and we had a queen size bed. The room was a little chilly but they do have an extra heater that they provide for you in the room. We didn't turn it on as it was a little noisy, so we just left the bedroom door open and kicked up the heater a bit more.
We took our own blankets so that helped out since we didn't want to get under the cold sheets. We used one of the blankets that were provided for us to cover our feet and the only thing that freaked me out a bit was that as we got out of bed and I pulled the blanket so I could fold it, there was a brown spider on the bed. Luckily we didn't get bit so next time we know to shake the blanket before using it as we are planning to stay there again this coming week (January 13-15).
Overall it was a cute place to stay at, about 10mins away from Snow Summit and literally 1min or less away from food places.

We visited this property last weekend since I attended a family wedding that was held at the same property. We stayed in cabin 5 and was far enough from the highway that we did not hear it at all. The room had 2 queen beds that were very comfortable, and usis equipped with a small kitchen, cozy living room area which also had a futon, the bathroom size was adequate for the cabin, The property has a pool, although the jaccuzzi was inoperable. Overall it was very clean and will certainly return!
