Woodgate Farm is off the beaten track, but still a great location for visiting Rye, Hastings, Great Dixter, Sissinghurst, Bodiam Castle and more. Better yet, it's calm and relaxing. Usually I choose historic B&Bs to stay in, but even though this one wasn't historic, I'm very glad I went there. John and Carolyn were very helpful. Breakfast was excellent with fabulous local bacon and sausage, eggs from a neighboring farm, tasty local apple juice and plums from the tree outside. If you're uncomfortable driving on narrow lanes, you might find it a challenge to get there, but it's a lovely and reasonably priced place to stay.

I was looking for somewhere to retreat to, quite literally. Carolyn and John provided the perfect place. The farm is set in beautiful grounds which I was free to roam. With private gardens, two ponds and woods, it was a charming setting. They were friendly and we had some great conversations. I also felt like I had enough space to spend time relaxing and recharging my batteries. The food was delicious, Carolyn catered for my tricky food intolerances perfectly. I stayed in the room with an ensuite bathroom, double bed and views out over the countryside. I hope to return!

We were heading to a family wedding in Tenterden and decided to head down on the friday night so that it wasn't such an early start on the Saturday morning.
We found this b&b and as it was only 15mins from the wedding venue we booked in for 2 nights.
Carolyn was extremely helpful when I wanted to find out about a taxi!
I was in a dilemma when at short notice we were offered a room with family at the wedding venue on the Saturday night - I spoke with Carolyn and they very kindly agreed to let us cancel the 2nd night stay!!!
We then ended up in lots of traffic hold ups on the Friday and didn't arrive until 10.40pm - this was very much later than expected and yet John had waited up to welcome us as warmly as if it was 5pm!!
The room was lovely and absolutely spotless everywhere!! Across the hall we had our own private bathroom so although not en suite it was just as good!!
We had the best nights sleep we've had in ages - bed was so comfortable!! Be prepared that this b&b in a stunning location! They baaing sleep help to de stress and let you know you're miles from your day job!!!
The breakfast cooked by John the next morning was amazing!!!!!
We were sad it was a short stay and now we've been we will definitely be back - you feel relaxed as soon as you arrive!!

Our stay here was really relaxing and very comfortable with a good breakfast, John and Carolyn the owners were very welcoming. we had good days out at nearby Rye and lots of National Trust places to visit. We would recommend.

My mum and I spent one night here. The views were stunning, with a beautiful garden and lambs in the fields. I felt a great sense of tranquility. Carolyn and John were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome. The room was clean, cosy and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, - it was all free range and organic. I would love to come back again. Thank you for such a relaxing stay.
