Nice Relaxed Cottage to stay with group

First of all, this a nice relaxed cottage to stay with group. Choose this place if you are 2 to 3 families and need a place to rejuvenate with close to nature. Do not go with expectations of hotel/restaurant like food. Rather, I should say this a well maintained home stay with all modern facilities. Bonfire area is also well maintained.
Only thing to be improved is the food quality. Caretaker who prepares the food should be taught how to make good dilli style home food
Secondly, place is 15 kms from Mall Road, Nainital in Pangot area.
Overall, relaxed place and you should definitely choose if you want to spend time with family and closed ones in a relaxed place away from cities hurdle and curdles.
Perfect place

Woodside retreit is a beautiful place to stay if you want to be closest to nature. It is quite, peaceful and very well setup.
The services are excellent with well equip rooms and delicious food. I would highly recommend a stay here as its a perfect getway to rejuvenate yourself.
Very Expensive, Poor property

The approach to the property is very bad. The last leg downhill on foot is too dangerous, Specially for children. There is no railing too. You might slip in rainy day.
Rooms are very dusty and floor dirty.
Very expensive for the price charged.
No activity, a dusty covered pool table which does not have accessories, useless.
Bathroom fittings work in reverse order.
Beds are poor, mattress worse. Quilts stained.
No parking. No arrangement for driver.
Mosquitoes and insects.
Waste of money.
Hotel/Cottage/Guest House What is this????

I spent 2 nights with 5 more people (Indians and foreigners) and I have to say that this is not a hotel, it's more like a cottage/guest house because you have to share it with the owners, 5 more people (At least, in our experience). I've been in many places around India and I could say that this is the most expensive hotel/cottage/house/hostel/or whatever I've been according to the facilities that we received and with the feeling of being watched all the time. The room prices including the breakfast were OK (But we could stay in a better place with that money), the food is expensive (One tea Rs. 75) and they charged us for the driver´s food, even he got what we didn't eat, I mean, you pay twice for the same food, Haha! There are no choices, you only have to pay Rs. 400 if you want to have dinner and we didn´t like it at all. With no more options around Pangot, you have to pay for it or drive for 30 mins. to Nainital.
The first night, one of the owners family members was fighting with one of the workers right in front of us, just because he was asking for food at 11 pm, awkward!!
We wanted to left the place after the first night, but the road was closed because of the rain.
The morning walks and the views just saved our trip...
Horrible n irritated experience!!

Worst location, worst n extra expensive foodfood, worst services...its not a professional hotel... U ll feel like unwanted guest in house n will be serving fircefully n unwillungly. N you will be charging for all ur movement in the house... N dnt order as anything without asking price.. All the best if u go for it by any chance..
