We stayed for three nights, the room was clean and tidy. For a family hotel, it was very quiet.The staff very helpful and friendly with nothing being too much trouble, a few issues with the wifi dipping in and out but that probably did us good.
Breakfast was very good as were the evening meals in the restaurant.
Perfect base for touring the area. Caves on the doorstep. Wells city, Glastonbury and let's not forget Clarks shopping village at Street would we go back? Yes we would

Wookey hole hotel was shared the same car park as the hotel.
Our room was clean and good for a 2 day break. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Reception manager was very helpful and with his recommendation we tried a lovely pub in the village of wookey well worth a try.
We didn’t visit the caves as too many steps and I am unable to go up and down many steps.

just got back yesterday, 2 adults + 1 child, 1 night.
very good value for money: very clean, good comfy beds, very nice shower/bath, big family room.
staff professional, friendly and food / breakfast was good.
perfect for the caves of course but also for Cheddar, Glastonbury etc
we definitely go back. :-)

Stayed here for 1 night before a day out at wookey hole. I emailed the hotel in advance to let them know it was my son's birthday during our stay and arrived to find a birthday boy balloon, teddy and notebook and pen as well as some towel art. My son loved it and it made it extra special for him. Hotel was very quiet, staff very friendly and helpful and food in the restaurant was lovely. Overall a very nice stay.

We chose this hotel as it was close to our final destination. It nestles close to the Wookey Hole park entrance. Ample parking was available. It was quite modern, rather Travel Lodgesque, but more welcoming. The room a 2+1. It was clean, spacious and nicely furnished. The hotel tries to tap into the magic theme of the nearby attraction. Life size models of horror figures are dotted around the building and the curtains had witch motifs. Not to everyone’s liking but it goes with the territory. My wife couldn’t make this trip and stayed home with my mother in law. I couldn’t resist sending her a picture of the notice advertising “breakfast with the witch tomorrow” and adding the caption ‘you and me both’. The evening meal was of a good standard and was priced similarly to average pub prices, but still cheaper than the pub down the road. At breakfast I wondered whether to ask the witch to use her magic powers to make the two additional sausages pictured in the breakfast advert in our room actually appear on our plates. Joking aside, the breakfast was very good and nice and hot. The main area for improvement would be to offer better quality fruit juices. The ones on offer were reconstituted and not very realistic. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and the money we saved by not staying in central Wells effectively covered our evening meals, so definitely good value for money. We would recommend this hotel, especially to families with young children who might enjoy the local attractions.
