Exceptional weekend

Our daughter and son in law held their wedding reception at The Woolpack Inn after getting married in the Carribean two weeks previously. The great thing for an occasion like this is that you can book all the bedrooms there (I think 18 rooms) and hold the Reception in the restaurant.
The rooms are great value and clean, we were lucky enough to get a room with a 4 poster bed.
Leading up to the event, Nicky and her team kept in touch making recommendations where necessary (regarding the food, music, photos, flowers etc) and ensured that when we arrived the day before everything was all ready to go.
The Reception was great, the food was exceptional, service impeccable and the DJ was brilliant and knew how to get a celebration going.
We then threw in a last minute request! Could they do 28 for Sunday lunch the following day!! Of course they could and the lunch was first class.
I have eaten here before and the food has always been quality local food, cooked perfectly and reasonably priced.
The Woolpack is a great location for family or groups of friends to go to and everything is arranged for you without the hassle of arranging everything yourself. The staff could not have done enough for you and ensured that everything went perfectly. Excellent accomodation, food and friendly service.
Great little venue

I stayed her before a friends wedding. Great find. Nice big clean rooms with a large ensuit. Lovley little bar with friendly service. We ate in the restaurant which had a good range of classic pub dishes which were freshly cooked. I will def come and stay again
Brilliant as ever

On our walk from Lenham to Canterbury the Woolpack is the perfect stopover ... warm welcome, great food at all times of day, comfortable rooms and a friendly atmosphere. They could not have been more accommodating. Staff are really helpful and obliging and bend over backwards to make things easy for us. 3rd time my walking group has stayed here on our annual Pilgrims' Way walk.
Wonderful accommodation

Beautiful place to stay in a beautiful village. Great old British pub with great food and ales.
Accommodation is simple but rooms provide everything you need and have added history.
Would like to come back for longer to explore the area in greater detail
4 star price, 2 star standard

Dismal, dreary, cold rooms which we paid top price of £94 per night. This price does NOT include breakfast.
Staff mainly good with notable exceptions.
Be careful, if you use a Debit/Credit card to reserve the booking with a deposit, they then take the balance on the morning of your arrival.
Bathroom was terrible. Dirty. The shower attachment in the bath was awful. Either scalding hot water or icy cold. Very difficult to get any temperature in between.
In short, I would never consider this hotel ever again.
