This place has a very nice three bedroom apartment with kitchen that is perfect for large groups. Good staff and located close 2km from main city. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and good air conditioning.

we stayed there in the end of December 2015. we were a group of 12 people including kids. in terms of privacy and safety the place is above satisfactory. as we were on the top floor hence could use the terrace easily. but the service was not up to the mark, we had to call a lot of time to the manager for very basic and small requirements also... most importantly the place is quite far from the beach, for kids and older persons its not possible to walk that distance. so i would suggest if you are planning to stay in a holiday rentals /guest houses search for better ones than this.

We stayed there for 2 nights and 2 days.
Pros:
Suite room was awesome.
TV & AC working, clean bathroom.
Friendly person at reception.
Cons:
Mosquito problem, be prepared for that.
Far away from pondicherry bus stand. It will be easy to travel if you have a vehicle.

We went for a weekend getaway to Pondicherry in August. We had pre-booked this hotel through Yatra.com for 2 nights. My feedback given below:
1) Even after doing the full payment online, when we reached the hotel, they gave the least maintained room for us in the ground floor in the corner.
2)Though the room was clean, the AC never worked properly, even the wash room was average.
3)In the middle of the night power went off, it was too humid, and there was no one (no manager nor any hotel attender) for our rescue. There was no power till the morning, even they did not switch on the generator the full night.
4)When we were about to check out after 2 nights, we were asked to pay for the drinking water bottles, which was never informed to us when we checked in.
5)Though the hotel claim to have parking and food facilities, it is just for advertising. You need to go out and get food from nearby market, and even the parking is just outside on the road without any shed or security.
Overall, though it is a budget hotel, still please avoid this hotel. It does not comply to its hospitality and it was our worst hotel experience ever.

We just had 4 days stay at World Guest House. It was good stay. Service was promt. Sendil , who is guest house manager is helpful. He provided us simple map of all routes and guided the routes to places we wanted to visit. It is true that guest house is off the road and in residencial area but that did not matter.Peaceful stay..
