In the middle of town although quiet at night ,has a bar and excellent restaurant although busy it felt relaxed ,found the restaurant staff attentive , quite a few locals eating in the restaurant which is always a good sign,the room was small although all was as it should be ,breakfast was excellent

Just a quick review we stayed there on sat the room was clean tidy and warm bed was very comfortable duvet was very warm breakfast was really good you order what you want the night before we will be going back so thanks for lovely stay

We have just returned from staying at Callander Meadows for 1 night and we will never be staying there again.... We were in the twin room - Room 1. It has to be said that the room was clean even though very small. When the en-suite toilet was flushed it was extremely noisey as were the other toilets in the other rooms, as we heard them when they were flushed too! The noise from the restaurant downstairs was continuous and I know the owners dog is called Fergus as they were calling on him late in the evening .... (Same dog sits beside the kitchen door where the foods prepared !)There were cables hanging from the tv down to a 4plug adaptor that was hanging near the ground - surely this is a health and safety issue.... All that said and done, the beds were extremely comfortable, very warm duvets.
We were asked to pre-order our breakfast the night before which was fine. Breakfast arrived which was fine, but halfway through my sausage, I realised that the remaining half was raw !!!!! When I mentioned it, the lady at the next table said her's was the same. We received 1 slice of small bread toast each and the coffee was luke warm.
On chatting with the people at the other table, they also said they would not be back - they recommended another place in Callander where some of their family were staying - hence they knew it was much nicer than ours..

Got a tip from our B&B (Annfield House) and decided to have dinner here. Food was superb and at a very reasonable price. We will definitely go there again if we pass through Callander.
Tip: Just across the street is a very nice pub at the Crown Hotel with live traditional music. Good way to finish the evening.

The steak was brilliant and the trout was amazing, and the two wines were great. A quality meal at a quality restaurant. Book early as all the locals know what a great deal they are getting. We'd go back.
