Was very disappointed with this property given the Wyndham standard. This property houses a Casino through which one has to walk to get to the elevator. The Casino is smoke filled, dull and smelly. Was not impressed with having to cover my nose to get to the elevator. Small elevator, drains in bathroom backed up and the balcony in the room I stayed, overlooked a pigeon nest filled with poop. The TV broke down every other day and the Internet was worse than dial up.

We have been staying at this hotel/casino for years and have seen many improvements since it changed to the Wyndham Garden Hotel. It is cleaner and they are putting microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms.

I stayed here over the summer then returned in Sept because the Staff was awesome, rooms met my needs, comfortable king size bed, cleanliness throughout the hotel and parking lot, and blocks from downtown Carson City which was great for my daily walks.

It was such an enjoyable weekend. I celebrated my 55th birthday along with a reunion with friends I haven't seen in almost 30 years, WHAT A BLESSING! Thanks for having us it did shook wonderful and memorable. For a first time visit to Carson city and surrounding cities it was AWESOME!!!

The hotel is a solid three-star. Basic amenities, comfortable bed, toiletries, flat screen TV, two bottles of water, coffee and tea and refrigerator in the room, free parking. The room furnishings are somewhat dated and soundproofing could be improved (I could hear the neighbors in the next room talking). The hotel advertises free breakfasts at the Black Bear Restaurant on the premises, but the selection was limited (biscuits and gravy and oatmeal). If you want anything else, there is a charge. The casino is limited to slots and electronic gaming. No table games. The hotel is fine for one night's stay.
