What People are saying

You get what you pay for...

Well... you get what you pay for. Hotel is dated... carpeting throughout is stained. Bathroom tub and sink area stained with mold/mildew. Housekeeper needs a refresher on making a bed.

Complimentary breakfast was cold... Last time I ate runny liquied scrambled eggs from a carton I was a child. Pancakes and Sausage paddies appeared to be frozen and then re-heated. Had to constantly ask to have the coffee pot refilled... no one paying attention. Took the manager about 4 attempts to make coffee because of the wrong filters being used in the machine... coffee kept coming out with grounds...

House Keeping is a Joke

mcsquared2on 19/11/2017 18:38

When we checked in we noticed the bed wasn't completely made No problem. once we got ready for bed there was stains all over the sheets it was so disgusting we contacted the front desk they apologized and offered to move us. our next room was okay still not up to standards. the towels were stained and the tub didn't look like it had been cleaned but the bed was fine.

We stayed 2 nights and had been gone for the day when we got back around 3 we asked if house keeping could come up and change the sheets and get new towels the lady at the front desk said she would get us towels but that no one from house keeping was in the hotel and they had left for the day. it was 3pm. Not a very clean hotel.

Caution!!! Extremely Dirty Hotel

Dave Lon 17/11/2017 23:55

Just about if not the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. Stains on the bed sheets, pubic hair on the floor in the bathroom, and tub. God only knows what was on the carpet. No water pressure in the shower, soap and shampoo was not replenished. Elevators had warning signs saying parts are on order and they were safe to use, and if you get stuck to call the front desk! Room key was not reliable. One card worked the other did not.
Will NEVER stay at this location again!

Checked out after our first of a two night booked stay

We stayed at this hotel for the Urbana Folk and Roots festival as it was promoted by the festival. We traveled several hours to attend, so were putting a lot of trust in the hotel and the festival for advertising this as "THE" place to stay. It's advertised as all amenities included, such as internet, breakfast, etc. I understand part responsibility was on the festival, but it was advertised there was a free shuttle service to and from the festival, which in reality was never set up. We were fine driving to/from, but it was frustrating when an elderly gentleman with a walker approached the front desk inquiring as to where he should wait for the shuttle, and in fact he was now going to have to drive in an unfamiliar town with limited parking downtown because there was no shuttle.

In regards to the actual hotel services and policies, I had to wait for service at the front desk Friday afternoon and Saturday morning as it seemed no one was ever around.

Being in town for the festival, we were looking forward to the convenience of the usual hotel breakfast (less time-consuming than trying to navigate around an unfamiliar city looking for a restaurant, besides wasting at least an hour just to eat). However, woke up to NO breakfast. I inquired at the front desk and was told they only put out a breakfast if they're "really busy or sold out". I've never heard of such a thing. Really? A Saturday morning, and the fact I paid just as much as any other guest to stay (upwards of $200, sold our or not!), and we couldn't even get a packet of oatmeal and hot water? The principle of the matter made us feel totally worthless as guests, after we specifically chose their hotel from the 6 or so other surrounding hotels (literally, within walking distance). Further, it was frustrating that there was no manager available to talk to that day, nor were we offered any sort of consolation besides told to call the manager on Monday and let them know we were frustrated. We requested to check out early, only staying the first of our initial two day stay and checked into a neighboring hotel which was quite a bit cheaper, and had 100% better customer service.

The rooms were ok, the shower/tub seemed to have mold around the seams, and the shower curtain appeared pretty dirty- I'm not usually that worried about germs, but I definitely went out of my way to avoid touching the shower curtain.

Horrible hotel

Hotel is so run down. Elevators were not working properly and at one point I was stuck on one for about 5 minutes. Bathrooms, towels such poor quality - not maintained at all. Absolutely not worth the almost $500.00 for the 2 day stay. Shower was horrible, I was not able to wash my hair due to not water pressure.
