We stayed at this hotel just over a week ago. The location is perfect. Straight across the road is the Pier and a street over is the shops for great shopping.
The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly and inviting. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom clean and spacious.
Only small negatives were the internet speed and the curtains. The wifi was pretty slow when it decided to work. Wasn't visiting the hotel for the internet so it wasn't much of an issue, just wanted it to FaceTime home as I'm from Australia. The curtains were see through and there were no blockout ones for the light in the morning/getting changed.
Those are small negatives for me but giving feedback for people on business etc wanting to use the internet in your room.
I was very happy with the hotel and I would recommend and stay again.

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of our USA trip and you cannot beat the location especially for the price. It is minutes walk to the pier and beach and you are surrounded by restaurants and shopping. I loved the hotel itself, it may have been recently refurbed as the carpets and bedding seemed new. The room size was good and the bathroom was also recently ugraded I believe. The hotel though modern still had a trendy boutique feel. There is a coin laundry and vending machines throughout the building which is so handy when travelling with kids. Front desk staff were all really helpful and efficient. The pool area was nice but you can hear the highway behind it, but then you don't really need it when you are so close to the beach. Parking is expensive, but inline with most hotels in the area. Would definitely recommend and plan to stay again next trip

Hotel staff were great! Room cleaning was careless & left dirty glasses, towels. People very positive and accomodating throughout our stay. Valets exceptional and should all get raises!

Pros:
1. Close to the beach
2. One minute walk to a Subway restaurant and five minutes to an Apple Store
3. Clean new bathtub and toilet
4. Coffee machine in the room
5. Self service laundry with a dryer on 4th (?) floor
6. The room generally seemed very clean
Cons:
1. Homeless people near the hotel because of a McDonald’s. Like, a lot of them
2. Horrendous wi-fi
3. Lamps in the room are not bright enough
4. Rooms are rather narrow
5. Elevators are claimed to work with a card, but worked perfectly without it
6. Elevator summoning button has to be pressed one million times. The same goes for the table lamps
7. The windows were dirty from the outside
8. Snacks at the first floor are insanely expensive
9. No fridge or microwave in the room

Ok, let's start with good. The majority of staff is friendly and helpful. The "interior" of the rooms are clean. The hotel itself is modern and yet at the same time dated. That's about it for positive. Let's talk price. This property, in my opinion is way over priced for what you get. So the Wi-Fi is free but that's where the perks end. Parking is upwards of $40 a night. Breakfast for 2 can set you back another $40. We had a room that is considered Ocean View. Yes you could see the ocean from a sideways angle but just barely through the most dirty, most grimy windows I have ever seen in a hotel. I'm not talking just the windows in our room. Every window in the entire hotel was filthy. Now let's talk safety zone. We were there two nights. During that time there were two shootings resulting in two deaths. The streets around the property are jam packed at night with homeless individuals that seemed non-threating but unfortunately some had mental health issues. So, to me, not a family location and totally over priced for what you get.
