What a wonderful and relaxing place is Xanadu! Margie and Bubba are wonderful hosts! The room was beautiful, with a spectacular view of the lake. Breakfasts were fantastic! The food was hot, fresh, LOCAL, and totally delicious! Plenty of other extras around to make the stay as comfortable as if you are home -- fresh cookies 24/7, soda and water in the mini fridge, water activities, all free and readily available. All in all, this is the best B&B we've ever stayed in! We hope to be back every year to visit!

We stayed in the Master Bedroom which not only has a fantastic view through all the windows, but the breeze was divine. Laying at night, I could see the moon through our window. The first floor common space was inviting and cozy, the owners, Bubba & Margie, great conversationalists and the food, great! What a refreshing and cozy place. So glad we found it and look forward to going again!

What a awesome hidden treasure,great house,great hosts,great food; and the most peaceful setting you will ever happen upon. Hand baked treats, boats gassed up and ready to use (free) to explore the lake this property is surrounded by. Really nice comfortable hosts, clean and cozy rooms, most with wood burning fireplaces. A yummy breakfast to start your morning. 5 guest rooms in the main house (2 with whirlpool tub) and two guest cabins on property. Just 2 1/2 hours West of Minneapolis,Truly a wonderful experience.

When you are trying to find this place, your first reaction is "where is it? Did we miss it?" Next, it's "What have we done?" The roads to the B&B are dirt back roads. But once you get there, all you can say is "WOW!" The building is quaint and very lovely. The scenery is breathtaking! The owners, Bubba and Margie, are so friendly and hospitable that you feel you are a guest in their home! (We left feeling we were leaving friends!) There are lots of things to do, watersports and walking around the grounds, watching the wildlife, etc. The rooms are just beautiful -- we stayed in the Master Bedroom, and it was just lovely, and extremely comfortable. The weather was mild, but we almost wished it was a little cooler so we could light up the fireplace in the room and sit in front of it on the pretty wicker glider! We woke each morning to birdsong! The breakfasts were just spectacular! A treat for both the eyes and the taste buds! We just loved it here, and would give it our highest recommendation!

You'll like this place! The inn keepers are professional but warm from the minute you step out of you car to your departure. The breakfast was great, the room was immaculate and comfortable, the sitting rooms welcoming, the lake view from the deck was perfect. There are snacks and drinks available 24/7 and if you are inclined their are boats, canoes, and kayaks available at no charge. We liked the upstairs rooms because they have a lake view. There is a challenging but charming spiral stair way leading to them. Breakfast is family style serve by the hosts. Beware: You may be seated next to interesting people! There resort style cabins available.
