Our group arrived late so didn't get to see the place proper. Early next morning, we realised the hotel was on high elevation, with a drop down to the town area below. It was very cold, thick fog outside. The Owner/Manager, Mr Lopsang Tenzin, was already in the kitchen, very attentive to details, ensuring we have a good breakfast before we start the day. He gave us his individual attention and thanked us for staying at his hotel. Room was spacious and clean - has a portable heater (which helps because it was very cold at night!). When we checked out, he draped a white, satiny scarf as a farewell gift, this being the typical Tibetan tradition.
Clean place with good showers

This is a money worth place. The rooms are big, clean, tidy and stylish. Showers and bath room is also perfect. Enjoyed our stay here. Kind service too. One day we were annoyed by monkeys, but that was also cute, hahaha.

We stayed 2 days in Zambala Hotel and service was awesome. The owner really very friendly and the entire stay was very comfortable, clean and the food served was also good. I loved the noodles soup there. I enjoyed personally the stay!
Stayed for 2.5 weeks

This is a lovely hotel, front desk day staff and day manager are wonderful. This is a short walk to main streets and stores and enough off the main road to be quiet. Better rates for long stays are available if you ask. Very clean, great bathrooms, laundry service, room service. Food is cheap but a bit bland compared to other places. Breakfast is great, try the porridge and cheese omelette. Also they are happy to get you Tibetan bread if you ask. Love it toasted. Fair coffee, very good Masala Chai.
A budget friendly hotel in heart of Mcleodganj

It is a lovely hotel situated in the heart of Mcleodganj. I stayed there for 3 nights and the staff at the reception was really sweet. The rooms were clean and there was hot water 24/7 in the tap. For a change there was a hotel in Mcleodganj where there were fans in the room (it does get pretty hot there in the day time). If you are looking for a clean, budget friendly hotel then this could be your best bet.
