Needs work
Russ1470on 27/08/2017 11:37I am not sure when the photographs on the web site were take, but it cant have been recently. The best thing about the hotel is the view from the delux rooms of the lake and the location. The rooms were large and clean.
Horrible experience
on 08/08/2017 14:09We were shocked about this hotel! It was booked through our agent who later helped us find another place because we walked out.
After a seamless pick up from the night train and seeing photos of the hotel we were excited but all excitement disappeared when we saw the room, dirty bathrooms and pool looked like you'd catch a disease.
Once we saw the place we looked up reviews and they matched other people's experiences.
We were booked for two nights so decided to leave before we settled in. We did feel bad for the guy who tried his best. Feel sorry for the workers.
Budget Hotel with Nice View
Rahul Son 21/06/2017 07:55With Traditional Rajasthani interiors & decent amenities i,e, Swimming Pool, Free Wi-Fi, Rooftop dining with lake view etc in budget price, the hotel is situated near FatehSagar at ascent. the view from its room and terrace is quite pleasant with a view of Pichola Lake. Overall good stay and friendly staff and Okay service.
Wouldn't stay here again
Amy Jon 20/04/2017 11:08Outside of the hotel is very underwhelming especially when you are greeted with the staff's laundry hanging up over the balconies.
The stairs up to the foyer and the foyer itself were decorated in a traditional style which was lovely.
The rooms were awful. There were stains on the bed and bed linen and they were very uncomfortable.
There were stains on the ceiling, looked like they had had a leak also.
Shower pressure was awful and there were stains on the towels. When we asked for new towels and bedlinen they weren't much better.
A stained mattress was left right outside our room door for a couple of days until we asked them to move it.
Breakfast was really really poor.
The view from our room was good and overlooked the city but i believe there weren't many rooms with this view.
The pool was clean but the beds around the side weren't great.
Its positioned a good walk outside of the city and you need to get a tuk tuk.
Wifi was free but barely worked.
The property was staffed by lots of very young men and they were very friendly.
Definitely wouldn't stay here again
Many issues, including BUGS
Noam Mon 06/03/2017 07:25Their sheets are all stained. We tried to have them changed but they were all like that. To be fair, I've found this problem at many hotels.
When we asked them to change sheets, the sheet they brought was covered in insects. We freaked out and asked for another.
The next day we had either a rash or bite marks. Now I'm worried my stuff is infested with bedbugs or something. Worst hotel experience.
There was no water. They got that fixed. Then there was no hot water. Now, you need to press a button to start the water heater, which they didn't tell us, but that's not what I mean: there was no water coming out at all when you turned on the hot water.
The phone wasn't very good, it was hard to understand what reception was saying. But they did send someone up quickly when we had an issue.
Note that there are only Indian electrical sockets, and they don’t have an adapter.
The cheaper rooms have no windows.
ONE MORE THING: be careful with valuables. I don't know if money was taken from our suitcase at the hotel, or at the airport later in the day, but take precautions just in case.
