Debbie at the front desk was very helpful and handled my needs quickly, all while checking in guests quickly. She was great and ensured easy shipment of my items, as I was traveling for business.
The hotel room was impressively decorated. Only complaint was lack of toilet paper holder- which even seemed odd to housekeeping, so i assume it was only in my room.
The hotel offered a decent breakfast and a custom order espresso bar, made on request! This was very impressive and quick.
I went to the crab spot, actual name, half mile down the road. This place was a great atmosphere and delicious seafood, along with other food options.

We had our AVA Boardl Meeting at Red Lion Atlanta this past weekend. The crew went out of their way to make sure everything went perfect with our two day meetings. From the front desk, Debbie, to the Sales Manager, Janet, to Justin and everyone else that worked so hard - the AVA thanks you!

Though the RedLion brand looks modern and clean, the hotel itself is very dirty. The toilet and the shower were scummy, the floor was gritty. No carpets in the rooms. The free breakfast was poor: lots of pastries and bread but no butter. Milk in a jug from the store. No yogurt, no eggs. For protein there was chopped up chunks of sliced ham and sliced cheese--weird. It was very crowded and loud every where in the hotel. The meetnig room was small and dingy. There really is nothing to recommend at this place.

It started with the room I reserved not being available, so I asked if they had a similar room with a fridge and microwave. They said they could bring these items to a similar room. The maintenance guy brought both, but simply set them in the room, he did not put them in a suitable location and he did not plug them in. The fridge was not cold at all, it had not been plugged in before being placed in my room and I found a bowl of what appeared to be turkey with no cover in it, as well as some other garbage. The microwave had not been cleaned either.
There were no wash rags in the bathroom, only bath and hand towels. It took nearly 2 hours to get these brought to the room. The phone did not work so each time I had to call the front desk from my cell phone. The 3rd time I called I was hung up on, so I walked down to the front desk and waited over 30 minutes in line to get the wash rags and let them know that the tub drain was clogged.
The maintenance man spent nearly an hour working on the drain with barely any improvement. The problem was obviously further down the drain pipe and they had no pipe snake to clean it out.
The room appeared clean, but I take my shoes off once in the room and quickly noticed my socks were getting dirty. The flooring is a vinyl made to look like wood and it seems they only sweep it, but rarely mop it, so there is a layer of stuck on dirt on the floor which socks pick up nicely.
The elevators were soooo slow and while there are 3 in the bldg., one did not work.
Be aware that there is an additional charge for parking, but this does not get you any security, anyone off the street can walk right into the parking area, half of which is around the back of the bldg. and I saw no cameras. There is some that is outside the gated parking area, but it is very limited. I am not sure what the charge is as I was given parking for free when they didn't have the room I had reserved 2 weeks prior to my stay.
They did give me a good discount for all the issues, but that does not make up for this complete and total failure of a hotel.
Don't waste your time with the continental breakfast, it was one of the skimpiest ones I have ever seen. There is a McDonalds 1 block away.
The good, the bathroom was clean, had a decent sink and the toilet flushed. The bed was comfortable and the room (single king) was good sized. Also, the staff was friendly.

No coffee maker in room, nor fridge nor hair dryer. The amenities listed a hair dryer. I had to call the desk three times before one was finally brought up. The AC/HEAT unit began leaking and the floor was covered with water by the time I woke up.Nothing like having to trudge through water to make your way to a tile floor bathroom, trying not to slip and fall.
