It was my second trip to the resort. We were a group of 5 (two families) and stayed at Banasura Hill resort between 18th Oct through 22nd Oct. My first visit was in May 2016. We were so happy with the stay in 2016, this time I brought along my sister and brother-in-law. Though the access to the resort is bit difficult, it was worth it. Amazing location. We took the Earth Room. The rooms are beautiful and walls are built using mud. The mud walls ensure cool temperatures inside. At first we thought the coolness is due to AC. We were wrong!. Great design by the architect Eugene.
The quality of service is top notch. Food is out of this world. The chef Girish is an amazing guy. I wonder how he ensures such great tastes and at the same time a healthy one in every single meal. Even kids will enjoy the food. Hats off to his culinary skills. Another great aspect of this resort is that one doesn't feel any sense of the location being crowded even when the resort is running full. Management is really great. They make your stay really comfortable. Go for it!
What a view

Picture perfect locale and sustainable architecture is what welcomes you at banasura hill resort.
But the proximity to nature also brings with a lot of bugs which is a dampener
Amazing customer service though
We were there on a weekday and so had the entire resort to ourselves which meant the staff had plenty of time to interact with us and give us a curated experience
Pros- location and service
Cons -bugs, mattress,
Wayanad at its best!

Banasura Hill Resort is off the beaten track, but gives you a total Wayanad experience. We came here during the monsoons and had a great time! Though it was raining heavily, we never had a dull moment. Soon after we reached, we joined a group for a walk of the neighboring plantations with one of the staff. He showed us all the spices and coffee growing on the property and took us down to a beautiful waterfall. When it was raining very heavily, we spent time within their recreation area and played Pool (they also had Fussball, Caram, Chess and other games as well). The food at the restaurant was wonderful as well - they have their own bakery and they make fresh breads and pastries which are served as desserts after dinner. The restaurant faced the plantation and the wall was all glass, and gave a beautiful view of the dense green cover. The architecture of the place was also great, the location under the Banasura hill was quite exotic. The peaks behind kept playing hide and seek as the clouds came and went, and added to the romance of the place. They also had a small trek route that our kids enjoyed a lot. The drive to Banasura Dam from the resort was also very beautiful. I would highly recommend this place for a long weekend. Whether you are a family or a romantic couple, this is a great place to relax and be one with nature. The last night we were there, the sky had cleared completely and the whole sky lit up with stars and one could even see the Milky Way galaxy so clearly - an experience that was so special that I will never forget!

The resort situated in a valley surrounded by green rolling hills is truly rejuvenating for people looking for solitude. The rooms are well maintained and hygienic.Staff are courteous and not over friendly. The highlight of the place is indeed the sumptuous meals served.Good value for your money.Great place to go as groups too as there is a lot of time to bond and catch up. There are a few hiking trails if interested . Very scenic. It is an ideal getaway for city dwellers looking for peace and tranquility. In terms of available activities the options are the regular hikes and indoor games.Easily accessible by road but the airport is an easy 3 hours away.

4-5 stars on the location and surroundings. Very scenic and great places around for a trek or a hike. Staff very polite and attentive.
Food is average and very few options.
Rooms are spacious and neat though a bit dark and damp.
We stayed 2 days/2 nights and had a nice enough time.
