What People are saying

Very noisy, inflexible hotel receptionist

Jana N on 03/11/2017 21:48

We stayed there 4x nights and booked a budget double room, we new the room would be on the ground floor (so street noise could happen) and that it would be rather small - that was exactly how we expected it so no issue for us BUT we didn't know that the room is directly located next to the heating / water system of the hotel as well as next to the reception / kitchen and lobby! It was extremely noisy from the hotel itself, whenever someone was using the toilet or taking a shower we could here the water floating and the pumps heating, especially nice at this wakes you up also during the night. Being located directly to kitchen, lobby and reception is very entertaining and frustratingly noisy as you can understand every single customer conversation! So don't expect to sleep and relax in the room. Of course we complaint and the reception already the first evening and the receptionist said that he is aware of this issues and that he can't do anything and we should talk the next morning with the hotel manager. If they know it's that noisy why didn't they make at least a note in the booking information the only write it's on ground floor but that naturally doesn't mean that you get all that noise from the hotel itself. So next Morning after a sleepless night we talked with the next receptionist and she offered us another room(for 2 out of the 3 remaining nights, last night they where fully booked) but we should pay 35-40€ more per night - we told her it's way too much for us for a room where they new upfront that customers complain about the noise (also this receptionist proofed by saying we know it's noisy but we can't do anything). By the way our booking rate was 60€ per night, so that would mean 60% more per night for them to be able to sleep! So we asked her to talk with the manager if we can move to the other room without paying a further amount, they talked but said again they can't do anything for us except we would pay that amount. So we called our travel agency and they where calling them and the receptionist told them it's not that noisy. That being said the agency asked us to make a video, we did and you can hear the consistent water flow sounding on a iPhone more like wind but you can hear the consistent noise which lasts day and night.
There was no excuse from management nor anything they where trying to make it better for us.

Why do I give 2 stars?
- Good location
- Nice roof terrace
- They gave us a small bottle of sparkling wine for the birthday of my boyfriend free of charge

If you want to sleep make sure to book a much more expensive room (but then you can already get much better hotels nearby) in one of the upper floors - even i can only guess that they are more calm as I didn't visit them.

Cozy, cute, great stay

We booked a prestige double room for five nights and it was perfect: the perfect size, the bathtub(the bed was double as in two beds pushed together with a sheet on top if I remember well, but that was ok), clean, nice decor. The location is EXCELLENT! Granada issuch a lovely city and we loved every corner, especially Alhambra, Sacromonte& Albaicin.

We stayed 4 nights , 9 people .. what a fantastic hotel it is . Friendly helpful staff , wonderful service . Clean , small rooms with great shower . A lift and a great terrace with great views . Central location to buses, food , bars and good eating . I certainly would go back . They cleaned our laundry and folded it and hung the shirts . Thanks , a nice touch .

Friendly family run boutique hotel

2010Walkabout on 09/10/2017 21:14

Small clean and welcoming family run accomodation close to the Cathedral. Easy 10 min walk to Albacin and the Alhambra we enjoyed a week here. Plenty of local breakfast and dinner options. Rooftop area is great for a rest.

French Spanish and English spoken. We would return here again.
