Visited the camp in the month of February. This camp tents were neatly maintained and very satisfied with the room quality , staff promptness and dinner served in the common dining hall. The cultural program was also very good.
Minor changes suggested that there is no front desk for a formal check in and restaurant were breakfast is served need a makeover .
Overall a pleasant experience for family and kids .
Not what we expected - needs structured programme of entertainment

We arrived and were greeted warmly and directed to our tent without any issues - we were advised that a snack and tea would be provided a little later - this arrived with a smile and was quite tasty.
The tent I would rate as superior quality - very comfortable (but perhaps more then 1 pillow per person would be better), everything was working fine, no faults.
We went for the camel ride and extended the ride - was fantastic and enjoyable - great to see the sun set over the dunes.
When we returned to the resort - we and others did not seem to understand the structure - I was expecting to have a cultural experience but found a series of disjointed performers and everyone walking around not really sure what was meant to happen.
Dinner should have been a set time so that everyone in the camp would come together and have a more lively experience - as it was awkward when you are one a few people in the food area - especially when the staff are aggressive with pushing for tips - waving notes in front of you when clearing things is not appreciated - tips should be for service delivered not by coercion.
If structured correctly then everyone could socialise and explore any organised displays as a group which is more fun..
Sadly we could not see any point to anything and simply watched some television and went to bed.
If events could be structured then I think it would be much more entertaining.
Excellent Dsert Camp, Will surely consider staying again, Highly Recommended.

If you are travelling to Sam Sand Dunes and looking at Desert Camp, there are plenty of choices, from Basic tent in a barbed wire fence compound to a modern, luxurious cabin surrounded by a colorful compound wall, a grand entrance, a village like set up with a lot of props. Chokhi Dhani is one such place and we enjoyed the stay. The cabin was very well fitted with modern, comfortable amenities set in the way of a traditional Rajasthani village/home. We had typical Rajasthani dinner, sitting cross legged on floor, and in the night there were cultural activities. Very easy for families to stay and enjoy. Explore on Camel and then take a Jeep safari ride into the Desert. Highly recommended.
Average place, poor management

Not typical of what you would expect from a Choke Dhani (when you compare with their other resorts), but nonetheless, a good place taking into account the location. Food is reasonable, entertainment is average, but management is poor, beware of the management trying to take extra money on account of single verses double accommodation, they don't have any single tents, all the tents are double, deluxe tents are better than swiss tents.
