Stayed here with family when I visited Vellore. Lovely place, the staff were courteous and were always ready to assist us... The rooms were spacious and clean making it comfortable. The food was amazing too. They have a lavish menu.
I would for sure stay here only whenever I visit Vellore.

The place is average and on the main road. The rooms are not very spacious and adequate. The linen we found were damp because of the weather.
The staff is courteous but we found some language barrier with support staff.
The tamil food we had was very good and i enjoyed that.
There can be improvement in room quality and linen.

Almost the only best place to stay with the family which i have experienced in such a small town like vellore. We might have GRT on the other extreme however for a one or two day stay Darling is quite good and pretty famous so a pre booking might be a good idea if you got to get the place. People are polite, humble and very friendly. Havent seen such a good staff anywhere else. you would really feel at home.

Instead of progressing from Good to Better, it has progressed from Good to Bad. If the Management does not wake up it will progress from Bad to Worse.
I have been staying here for the past ten years so I can feel the difference. In my recent stay, I had booked a Deluxe room but as the hotel was fully booked I was allotted a Standard room. I asked for the electric kettle that comes with a Deluxe room. It arrived after half an hour minus the coffee and milk powder. A request for this materialised after 15minutes, without the cups. And after 15 minutes the cups arrived minus the tea spoon.
The AC cooling was not enough. The adjustable device showed the room temperature at 26 degrees. I was told that I cannot control the temperature as it was centrally controlled at 24 degrees and if I wanted a temperature below that there was no way I could have it. They however sent a person to clean the filter so that the cooling will be better. At night it appears they increase the temperature as I started sweating. The same thing happened during my stay the previous month.
Food at both restaurants were good. That was the saving grace.
The receptionist should have ensured that the basic amenities for a Deluxe room like, toilet kit, coffee maker and accompaniments were provided without me asking for it. I had already paid upfront for the room so they had nothing to lose. They dont seem to be bothered as their occupancy rate is good. But they should realise that once they take their customers for granted that will be the start of their decline.

It was a night halt on work.
The Hotel was accommodating.
Location is good - Not in the congested or traffic-ridden parts of Vellore (old or new).
Some distance from work, a little difficult to locate initially, but nevertheless - very well located.
