Hotel Athithi serves perfectly if you want to watch the Dassera Parade in Mysore. The rooms facing the street are spacious, and the ones with the balcony are really nice if you have a small group to enjoy the Jamboo Savari.
There's lots to eat nearby, and morning walks can be wonderful in the neighborhood.
As a hotel, it is fine for a tourist. Pretty good location, large rooms, polite reception desk. spacious sitting areas (always nice to have in a hotel if you want to meet visitors but prefer not to invite them into your room).
I know why the glass on their windows is tinted, but how much better would clear glass be for the Parade watch!

The hotel staff are extremely courteous and are there when you require them. The rooms are spacious with the necessary amenities. Located centrally, it is light on the pocket without sacrificing on comfort. Very happy!

The main advantage is its location at the city centre. It is clean and staff are friendly. We booked on phone by a friend's recommendation and paid over the counter when we checked in. 24 hours running hot water and he bathroom is clean. colour tv worked well and room service food is good (from outside restaurant). recommedned.

We booked this hotel for one night stay on recommendation of a local office colleague. The tariff is good value for money and is located in the heart of the city. My office people recommends this hotel to colleagues who visit Mysore and hence we got a discount of 10% on the tariff too. We could visit most of the tourist attaractions like Chamundi mandir Shakti peetha, Mysore palace, zoo, which are close by to this hotel and could come back in the afternoon to rest for a while.
The room is compact but has all basic amenities in place including colour TV which worked well picture quality good (normally budget hotels compromise on this fine things) and my son could watch cricket - some match going on and he choose to stay at the hotel for the same when we went out for shopping - obviously he was happy. The linen is clean and bath room clean with hot water facilities. No complaints during our stay. We travelled from Mysore to Bangalore by Shatabdi - It is too close to railway station only 20 minutes away.
The hotel does not have a restaurant when we visited in May, 2014, but I will not consider it as disadvantage. The staff took order and brought food from near by restaurants - so it is as good as room serviceas service is not delayed. We will choose to stay here in our next visit too and I recommednd this place.

Its a nice small hotel on the main road. Opposite to bus terminus. So it has easy access by road.
Very decent hotel for a family to stay. Its clean and neat with good number of staff.
Only draw back of this hotel is, it does not have any restaurant. But have few restaurants nearby. So, no problem for food. Sometimes hotel people take order from us and serve it in our room with little extra charge. Good hotel to stay with a reasonable low price.
