I had visited Le Royal Meridien on 17 Nov 17 along with my family for Dinner. I tried the buffet option and booked my table through Kannan. When I landed up at the Hotel, I was surprised to see such a warm welcome by the staff. Me and my family were escorted inside the restaurant and were allotted a table as per our choice. Kannan personally visited us and dedicated two waiters to take care of us. The hospitality so displayed was outstanding.
The food was excellent and included a video range of spread.
We will keep going to the restaurant regularly henceforth.
Thanks Kannan for being such a wonderful host.

I liked two things about this hotel. The old and royal look and food. But I dont think it is suitable for business travel. Below are few of the reasons:
1. There is no power point next to bed. So you can not keep you mobile on charge if you would like to use it just before going to sleep. There were two power point near the table. One was already being used for the table light and the other one was not working. So effectively there were no power points available. I had to unplug few of the lights and use them as I need three points (Laptop, mobile, Ipad).
2. Rooms does not have iron. Well, you can ask them and they will provide you. But that's not what is expected when you want to quickly get ready and go for your meeting in the morning.
3. in my case the water was extremely hot in hand shower. When I complained first day evening, the maintenance guy came and said "ok sir I will fix it". Next day morning I realized it is still the same. I called the guy again and another guy came checked and said "ok sir I will fix it immediately". But to my surprised when I took the bath it was still extremely hot. It is not about something not working. It is about not bothered to check if it is fixed.

It was pleasure to stay at hotel . very friendly and supporting staff. house keeping , cleanliness was maintained . special thanks to Mr. Anbaz Hagan for helping in arranging/ correcting weighing machine and also for very clean ,good house keeping.

As others have said, Le Royal Meridien Chennai is ~20 mins away from Chennai airport, and is a "grand hotel" that is suitable for business travelers. The staff are are courteous, the food in the restaurants is quite good and the personal trainers in the gym are particularly helpful.
One of my colleagues (from Italy) also staying at the Hotel fell sick, and the Hotel staff were very helpful in arranging for a doctor to come see him. They even went and purchased the prescribed medicines and delivered them to my colleague in his room! Very grateful for this level of attentive service.
Although parts of the hotel are aging, I still had an overall very enjoyable stay, and would stay here again.

Had a great stay which would make me always remember,the staffs were great and remarkable specially I would like to thank Mr.Abhishek who took my checkout he was excellent and outstanding.And also would like to thank Mr.Ramar and Mr.Murali for their excellent service and caring.
