We stayed in a studio unit at this resort, and loved everything about it but the bed. The front desk staff when we checked in was without doubt the best we have ever experienced. They were friendly, and very helpful. I wish I could do more to thank them for the great experience. The only negative was the Murphy bed in the studio units. They were pretty hard!

Three women friends rented a nice 3 bedroom condo in Worldmark Galena this summer. What we didn't realize when we rented was that it was in a large and rustic community where the homes are few and far between and we were the only ones staying in the block of homes in our area. While the resort probably had lots to offer, we were in Galena for the town itself. Driving back from town at night it was extremely dark and a little frightening to be alone. This would be a good place for couples or families. I wouldn't recommend it for single women.

Traveling to visit family and spent several days here - it’s beautiful! The facility was experiencing some updating but it was rather seamless and didn’t interfere with our experience.
The room was great - spacious, comfy, appointed nicely- we could easily live here!
The staff are awesome and work hard to meet your needs. They will make recommendations as to what to do and even call ahead for you.
Go! You won’t be disappointed.

While visiting the historic city of Galena, IL, we stayed at the World Mark resort. It was about six miles out of the city located in a secluded area. We had a studio condo which featured a Murphy bed! My first experience with one but it was fine. The kitchen was an efficiency type and storage was limited. We felt the storage options could have been arranged a little better. The bathroom was huge and had a jacuzzi. We did miss not having a dishwasher and a set of washer and dryer appliances. The area and sites to see more than made up for the lack of ammenities as we toured most of our time there. Definitely a wide range of interesting sites and activities to see and do. The resort did seem to cater more to adults than families and that was a plus for me. I would recommend staying at this resort but try to get at least a one-bedroom condo to fully enjoy your experience.

We stayed 2 nights at the Worldmark while we visited the Galena area. We had a one bedroom condo which featured a fireplace, living room area, full kitchen and large bathroom.
Our unit had a very comfortable bed and pillows.
There was a nice deck area to enjoy.
The resort has an indoor pool and an area where you can grill.
During our stay it was very nice and quiet.
This resort is located outside Galena so it is about 6 miles to a restaurant or shopping.
