This hotel is huge with excellent location perched on the mountain side overlooking the bay. The best view is from the Onsen pools but no photo allow inside onsen. Unfortunately the first day it was foggy and raining, but still incredible experience for my first onsen.
There are separate onsen for males and females, and you have to stripe naked to get in the onsen, either indoor or outdoor. You will get over being naked as everyone is naked! Try the small bath tub outside, the view is better and less steamy. If you are first timer like me, don’t stay more than half an hour in the water, or you would feel dizzy.
For the really shy fellow, you can wear your swimsuit and go to the aqua pool, which is still onsen water but more diluted. You will still feel the effect, but not so strong. Try the doom shape structures with salted onsen and you can float on the water effortlessly!
There are many half enclosed shower stalls next to onsen pools, with Shiseido toiletries provided and dressing tables with hairdryers, facial toners & lotions. I especially like the machines to spin dry swim suits, only 5 seconds & it will go from dripping wet to the spin dry version.
The hotel provides bowling facilities, game arcade, gyms, shopping, and multiple restaurants options including buffets & western options. I got the package with breakfast, dinner, onsen & accommodation. Not all places accept credit cards, but you can choose to charge to your room by presenting your keycards.
If you are vegetarian like me, there are some options in the dinner buffets such as toufu, pizzas, soba, breads, salad & desserts and also an Italian restaurant. Vegan might be very challenging though.
This hotel is very popular with foreign tourists, & locals as well. Book at least 2-3 months earlier, check in as early as possible to beat the tourists before their arrival in the late afternoon.
Overall, great places for families or a group of friends to enjoy onsen.

I stayed here for two nights with friends from Australia. We enjoyed our time very much, there are many things for children to do while adults could take it easy. Two pools, one with water slides,cafe and wave pool. There amusements for small children and we enjoyed the bowling alley. There are quite a few restaurants there and a cafe for relaxing and talking. Our room was ok but smaller than the more expensive ones, which is to be expected. The staff were friendly and helpful, there are many staff members who can speak English. We would like to come back here again.

I traveled Kyushu for 10 days and Suginoi is the the Most Expensive & Luxury Hotel i stayed during my trip. This is also the hotel that provided the most entertainment. When my friend showed me the link, i immediately said let's go and try this. Although I read a lot of bad review mostly due to too commercialize but still we proceed to try it. We stayed at Suginoi Hotel Hana Kan. I am very satisfied with my room, big and huge with western bed + traditional japanese tatami living room area. i think it is enough to host 4-6 people in this room. We were there for the whole day with 2 meals - breakfast and dinner in the hotel. Lunch - we are quite hesitate to drive out so we had it at one of the Italian restaurant in the hotel. Love the dinner buffet with a lot of really wide range of quality food!!Too many choice and I hope i have more stomach space.
There are many onsen area you can enjoy, i like the traditional one with the round bath tub at the open area with nice city view. There are night performance which is quite enjoyable. It is like an integrated entertainment resort. It also allow non-hotel guest to buy day ticket to enjoy the pool. There is one area which only dedicated to hotel guest. Hence, the only complain is during peak period, everywhere also very pack and that is where you will find it quite noisy.

The hotel is suitable for family, with large room size, nice view and lots of facilities. The onsen infinitive pool are great for relaxing and nigh time enjoyment. But it is quite inconvenient to other check points, either need to travel by taxi or shuttle to the station for transition.

I went to this hotel with my family:) Dinner and breakfast were great! You can enjoy not only meals but also sweet finger food while drinking!

You can also enjoy beautiful hot springs. Don't worry if you don't use hot springs, there is also a bathroom.
