If you are in Ahmedabad, this is an excellent place to stay. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean and the whole place well decorated and run with some sophistication. The roof restaurant is especially good, but remember that, like the rest of Gujarat, it is dry.

the best heritage hotel in town to stay, and the food is excellent you will fill like a king living...with its old heritage rooms are different with modern amenities and the staff is so polite and helpful.... will visit again

There is a lot of cloud about the property, Though very old and well maintained property, it is not 'value fpr money'; Everything is exorbitantly priced.
Staff is very courteous and helpful but follow 'timings' strictly. Being at the heart of city, it is very near to most of shopping and other centers.
The area out side hotel is very dusty. The Pool in the hotel is very small and it is indoor pool.

The hotel is amazing: very clean, comfortable and the room we had was very large. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We also booked the heritage walking tour (with breakfast included) and we loved it.

The first thing to mention here is that this place really deserves a five star rating.The reason I detracted a star is the comparative lack of excellence in their complimentary breakfast service.
That apart, I think my stay here is a memory that I shall always cherish. Our room was everything I thought it would be and then some. All the furniture was period . The room was vast. And yet it was the coziest room imaginable. Just coming back to it at the end of a long day was a pleasure to look forward to.
Definitely a hotel to visit again and again for both its ambience and hospitality.
