In addition to some of the rooms located in the main block,the terrace of Latitude and the terrace of Il Camino restaurants, will also undergo structural refurbishment. Hence the poolside will be closed during the period of 24th February to 02nd March, and again from 20th to 27th April 2015. During this period, the pool facilities at our sister hotel, Vivanta by Taj Holiday Village, Goa will be available for all our guests. All other facilities and services remain fully operational during this period. Please be assured that the hotel has taken all necessary measures to minimize the inconvenience caused to our guests

The Taj Fort Aguada Hotel has beautiful grounds and wonderful (though costly) food. One would think it would have a top-notch spa as well, right? WRONG! I spent two days there receiving various massage and skin treatments, as well as getting a manicure and a pedicure. The massage was decent, but the facial was painful and poorly applied. The manicure and pedicure were the worst I have ever received in my life. Perhaps they just don't know how to care for men's nails, but I left literally bleeding on one heal, and had unevenly cut nails on my hands. It was not just how they looked, but the whole experience was simply unpleasant and painful! I paid the bill but left no tip for the staff.
There are other spas with MUCH BETTER treatments in Goa, and at less cost, too. I would say 'four stars' for the hotel, but just two for the Spa, thus an average of three between them. Avoid the Spa and go elsewhere!

Decided to make a really last minute plan of visiting the north of Goa when a friend suggested we spend a night at the Taj at Aguada
BEST. SUGGESTION. EVER.
This luxurious stay comes at a cost but one that you really wouldn't regret paying for.
The place is heavenly; very quite and peaceful. Extremely proactive and friendly staff that don't hesitate in fulfilling the dumbest of your needs.
Loads of history all around the hotel. Convenient entry to the beach.
The spa and fitness centre although at it's sister location is not hard to navigate to. Lots of open space providing all the privacy you could possibly need.
A definite recommendation from my end for anyone looking to pamper themselves with some peace and quiet in a historical yet luxurious environment.

This hotel is great, not only because of the wonderful location, and the great sea view, but mostly because of the people, everyone is friendly and generous, the restaurant by the pool bar is exceptional, the manager Partha, and the waiters Ali and all were wonderful , the chef Manoj’s food is out of this world, u have to try the lobster and tiger prawns and the sea food thali. It was awesome!

My husband and I travelled to this wonderful property for our 1st wedding anniversary. It was worth it!
From the surprise decor in the room, to the private dinner arrangements, it was like a fairytale! My husband completely floored me and he had the complete support of the Taj staff to make this trip memorable.
The food is delicious, must tries are wild mushroom soup, aguada punch, New Zealand lamb chops, chicken stuffed with spinach and much more.
The room is spacious and comfortable, with a very beautiful view! It does take room service sometime to come to the rooms as it is a big property. It could help the room service staff if they were provided trolleys. But they always apologised for the delay and were had a bright smile on their face.
The property is breathtaking, so peaceful and mesmerising. For those looking for a relaxed getaway or a romantic location, this property should be on your list!

Stayed at Taj Fort Aguada for 2 nights while traveling to Goa for a business trip. A few of things that stood out were:
1. Airport pickup - an extremely comfortable ride to the hotel.
2. Great rooms - True Taj overlooking garden and a wonderful view
3. Incredible breakfast spread. Very few buffet chefs can cook up a “perfect” omelette
4. Convenient checkin and checkout process.
Tip : the gym is shared with Taj Holiday Village and does not open till 6:30, but those who want can do a quick run to Fort Aguda (3.5km one way with a nice incline).. will be an awesome start to the day.
