Hillview is the lodge its located at the top of munnar hills.. ah water is too cold in that area. If u turn on the water tap u get ice cold water. Rooms are large and clean.. bed sheets blankets are clean and fresh.. if you visiting first time to kerala n if u are pure vegitarian then dont forget to take pounds of bread and jam with you.. its hard to get pure veg hotels

We did not have any reservation, we just walked in and got rooms of our choice with a beautiful view of eucalyptus forest. The room given was big with a large bathroom. It had antique bedstead and wooden floor. the month of November is pretty comfortable weather. The dinner and lunch has both South Indian and North Indian dishes. The view from the top where the restaurant is located is breathtaking. The complimentary breakfast spread is sufficient.

I had booked this hotel from OYO rooms and had taken premium rooms, but when we checked in we were given standard rooms on 1st floor. Following are the things to improve for Hill View Munnar:
1. The rooms were big enough but were not nicely maintained at all. Less lighting and dark rooms. Some lights not working.
2. Service staff not at all good. On asking for soap and toiletries we got an answer that you have standard rooms which don't have these facilities.
3. Kettle was not provided in some of the rooms. These were given after multiple reminders.
4. Restaurant food was good but the people serving food did not had hospitality. Bisleri water was kept on all tables but on our table they served normal jug water.
5. They had DJ night, on asking about it we were told it is over don't go and when we actually went there it was on.
6. The manager was good who somehow tried to resolve the issues but we were not at all happy as we felt like we have come to stay free of cost in this hotel by looking at the behavior of the staff at this hotel. Somewhere the attitude of the staff there was like having a double mind and not of serving the customers and making them happy.
Good things:
1. Children play area on the top floor.
2. Near to the main market.
3. Good parking space.

Have been there twice and it was a good experience overall. Well managed rooms with a wooden treatment all around. Even though it was not a big menu the food served was of good taste . The new way of organising the toiletries looked much better compared to what I have seen earlier. Would recommend if you are travelling to Munnar.

Been a Hill View hotel late September of 2017. You will be welcomed by a fantastic cinnamon tea that sets the mood for the entire trip. The rooms and the woodwork of the place has a distinct colonial feel to it - It felt as an older British era building. Stayed in room 105 and 106. The rooms were big and spacious and could easily accommodate 3 people. Bathrooms were big and spacious. Mini bar had minimal choice
Food choice however needs to be improved. There is very limited choice for dinner and breakfast and any a-la-carte order will be only from the buffet menu. Having said that the taste and quality of food is really good. Breakfast time needs to be extended a bit.
Will definitely recommend the hotel.
